Another party in the Beasts' castle
Characters: Jean Kirstein [The Beast]
Campaign: Break
Format: [ brackets ] AND/OR prose do either
Open
Summary: There's a party at the Beasts' castle!
A message (written by a furniture) is sent out through the devices. The strike outs are Jean trying to censor things but they can be seen if you squint.
Welcome to the party on April 10th!
The place is indicated on the attached map.
It is also our Masters' birthday this week (7th)
Do with the information as you please.
Let's have a delightful time!
The places in the castle
The castle & the surrounding rose garden: there are also some wolves wandering in the nearby woods but they do not attack.
Dining room: where the main event, dinner is held. It will take some time for the food to be served since they do a dance.
Library: Not as impressive as the Index main library and most of the books are empty.
Fireplace / Living Room: A cute leg rest that acts like a dog will help you relax by standing under your feet.
Study & the Magic mirror: The magic mirror shows who you're thinking about - if they're in Index, that is.
Dance hall & the attached balcony: The furniture will try to help anyone they think are couple material or seem like need help with making A Move. They may get it wrong sometimes.
West wing & the Enchanted Rose: the restricted area. All the furniture will warn you not to go there and while Jean won't be as aggressive about intruders than before he will still be cautious and snippy.
You can imagine any furniture to be alive, except any bathroom furniture for the sake of my sanity. The main butler is a candelabra, much like the disney versions but even more obnoxious and Lumiére. All the furniture have a French accent except for the leg rest since it barks like a doggo.
Jean's wolf cubs, Connie and Sasha, are around in the library or following Jean. There is also a third one, Frost following Weiss.

Days before the party; closed to Weiss
"I can't even dance, you idiots!"
no subject
But considering one of Weiss' nicest memories from her old school is a party with friends and she can be a party girl, this sounds like a fun idea! She's happily talking with the furniture about it, she's actually excited and helping them to plan things and make things happen and so on...
She's not busy with anything at the moment, when she passes by that study and happens to overhear that line. Weiss walks into the room.
"That's easy to fix, when you have me to teach you here."
Weiss looks so confident but hey, she knows all kinds of dancing styles, this is not a problem at all!!

Jean Kirstein | The Beast
Jean spends most of the beginning of the party greeting people who come in. The candelabra is also there, mostly to poke him to smile and act like a polite host since last time he acted so terribly. The changes in his normal appearance are lion ears, horns, a wolf tail, claws and fangs to those unfamiliar with him.
Dinner
If someone asks him if the furniture always sing before dinner, Jean would answer "most of the time", which probably shows on his annoyed and bored face. He's seen the show many times, even if they sometimes change it around.
This is a good time to talk with him if you don't mind yelling over the music number.
Living room
Jean decides at the middle of the party to take a break and sit in the living room. The two wolf cubs and the leg rest are all there with him as he sits on the carpet in front of the fireplace. The two cubs are snuggling at him and he seems gentle as he pets both of them.
A rare soft moment to witness for sure.
Dance hall
He makes an appearance at the dance hall, but refuses to dance most of the time. He ends up dancing with Weiss later on. He's more there to talk to people if they wish and enjoy the atmosphere.
Wildcard
Are you feeling adventurous? Come visit the west wing despite all the warnings. Or something else entirely, like a library visit or an explanation on the magic mirror.
Main Hall
Upon arriving, she knocks on the castle doors, waiting for anyone or the host of the party to show up. When the doors did open, she makes her way to the main hall and begins to check out the whole place around. She is still new to the Index so she hasn't known that many people but she is still hoping to make some friends along the way.

Gaston | Bearskin
Over the past weeks of being here, he's mostly been sticking to himself as he tries to adjust to this miserable new environment. Tonight, however, he's been out hunting. The woods are usually silent. USUALLY. The flow of people headed towards a brightly-lit castle ruin that calm and draw Gaston's attention. Once he approaches, he even hears music.]
[A: Outside]
[With both his pistol and his bow and arrows now slung over his shoulders, he's slowly approaching the castle. But not by walking along the main road, oh no. Instead, he's moving through the rose garden, trampling some of the flowers as he goes. A party is all well and good, but he still remembers the last time he was at a castle like this one. For now, he just wants to observe exactly what's going on here.
So yes, needless to say, there is a guy wearing a bearskin and carrying several weapons hiding in the bushes outside the castle. That's not creepy at all.]
[B: Main Hall]
[What eventually lures Gaston inside is not the merriment, nor even any stares or discussions he might've gotten from passing guests. Nope, it was the notion of food and drink. He's not expecting people to sing his praises the second he walks in, because it's not like a bunch of strangers could know how amazing he is. What he does expect, at the very least, is to be welcomed.
And he is welcomed as soon as he walks through the door. By a talking clock.
So he yelps loudly and recoils backwards, into whoever happened to be standing behind him. Being very big and very weighty, that might not be a fun time for the other person.]
[C: Kitchen]
[He's only been inside for about ten minutes and already, Gaston is having a bad time. The talking furniture is hitting a bit too close to home for his liking. The clever thing to do would've been to leave immediately, but Gaston's not clever. He's only contrary. Walking away would be cowardly and he wants to get something out of this, so he's made his way into the kitchen to get food. (Dining room? Pshaw. He's going straight to the source.)
So now he's in a hefty argument with the oven about some juicy turkey legs.]
I don't care if it's for the other guests, you accursed hunk of metal! No one asked for your opinion! Just spit it out already!
Outside
It's on her way that she sees... a real weirdo just creepin' outside on the grounds. Being an avatar of justice and all, this is weirding her out and so, being Maron she's just gonna. Go over and find out what in the world he's doing.
Tap tap tap on his shoulder. When he turns, a tiny girl is standing behind him, arms crossed. Better explain yourself, Gaston!]
So sorry for the delay!
No problem! I'm in the same boat hehe
Sherlock Holmes | The Pied Piper
[For a good hour of the evening, the Great Sherlock Holmes can be found in the dance hall! He'll play a bit of music himself on his pipe (luckily there are no rodents nearby, so no floods of rats will ensue), or resort to some very bad dancing when he hears a song that strikes his fancy. Awful. Stop him.
He will, of course, take the occasional break to sip a glass of wine. That's as good a time as any to strike up conversation with him.]
[B: Library]
[Books! BOOKS! Sherlock loves books! Unfortunately, he came to find that most of them are empty. Most, but not all! That just felt like a challenge to him, so he started perusing every single one in search of actual content. Aaand somehow this led to him hanging from one of the topmost shelves. Both hands are holding onto the wooden surface for dear life, and his feet are perched a few shelves below that, leading to a very awkward crouch of sorts. There's not a single ladder in sight. He likes to dangle from weird places sometimes.
Don't ask how this happened. Just get him down from there before he hurts himself.]
[Locked to Jean's furniture and/or Jean himself]
[Interview! Interview!!! Sherlock's about to delve right into the mystery of Jean's sentient furniture and just how sentient it really is.]

[Makoto wasn’t sure how to hover with his wings, but he was able to get up to Sherlock’s eye level with them. He prompted a coupe shadows to give him a foothold, at least. There, better balance.
The library was huge and Makoto wanted to stay here for a bit for some peace and quiet. And then found a man hanging off the shelves. Oh boy.]

Luca Balsa | Count of Monte Cristo
He liked it before, so he decided to come back for another! The atmosphere seems a bit livelier than the last time... Hm. Did the dancing furniture get singing lessons? He doesn't remember, but they're entertaining enough to warrant applause at the end of the show.
Kind of silly, perhaps, but that's what one does when attending dinner and a show.
West Wing
Uh oh... Luca got himself lost in the castle again. You might find him near the entrance, arguing with a talking clock.
"What do you mean, 'don't go there?' This is the way to the library, isn't it?"
Dance Hall (Closed to Alice)
He thought it would be s good idea to invite Alice to the party with him. After all, this was similar to what she must have been used to before everything came crashing down on her... Except a little better than that.
Things went smoothly, in his opinion, until an incident in the dance hall. You see, the furniture must have mistaken his friend for his lover and they didn't want to wait for the absentminded aspect to make a move. He didn't seem to pay too much attention to any of their chatter, so the chair took it into their own metaphorical hands...
Next thing Luca knows, he's been scooped up by a galloping dining chair and practically tossed at poor Alice. Hopefully she doesn't get knocked over as he crashes into her?
Dining Room
She just so happens to be sitting next to him too as she spoke and probably got distracted by the whole performance that she might have forgotten her dinner on a plate for a good while now, currently tapping her fork onto her food to the beat of the song.
How did I forget this for so long?!
It’s totally fine.

Dance Hall~
Went very smoothly indeed, even if Alice did wander a bit simply to look about the place; she had at least remembered not to simply walk away without a word to Luca. For all she knew he might want to come along.
Still, it wasn't something expected. At least there was some warning -the sound of a galloping chair- before the crashing toss happened. Alarmed, but at least there was enough time for her to brace. Toto caught the both of them before she could fall over, a large pillow between her and the now horse-sized Toto as the dog had lowered to be landed on. Fingers a little tight at Luca's shoulders, but it could have been worse-
"What in the world-" Alarmed still, yes. "-Are you alright?" She'd had harder falls of curse, but still.

Kazuma Kiryu | Big Bad Wolf(Red Riding Hood)
[Of course he was walking the outside of the castle, more out of habit before going in than anything. Getting familiar in case there was any reason to swing by again outside of some open invite that didn't seem to be wholly wanted.
It was curiosity that had Kiryu come, and that he was familiar enough with Jean after a brief meeting.
He was eyeing the garden, the flowers within, tail swaying idly as he walked. Picking up the scents- and perhaps preparing for his nose to be assaulted when he did go inside judging from what he could get out here.]
Dance Hall
[All of the moving furniture when he'd first come in had been given a wary side-eye, but Kiryu had kept going.
Reason he'd ended up just moving along the edges of the dancing area, keeping on the edges on the crowd formed by those gathered and actually dancing. Had been years since he'd last danced. Disco had fallen out of style, and it wasn't as if he was well acquainted enough to want to step out on to the floor.
Just kept watching, a drink in hand.]
Hm.
Dance Hall GET DOWN TONIGHT, KIRYU
You sure look like you wanna get out there and dance, am I right?
[Because he knows he wants to get down on that dance floor and DANCE.]

Ren Amamiya | Robin Hood
Ren had been reading on ways he could try to control his stealing urges and he figures this time he'll be able to hold enough self control to behave.
So far it seems to be working, even if he could tell some of the enchanted furniture were looking at him with wary. He just ignores their looks though since he's used to it at this point. At least it's not dumb gossip.
West Wing
Unfortunately there was only so much self control he could have before his curiosity with the west wing gave out. He ignored the warnings not to go up there and starts making his way to it.
He sees the enchanted rose and walks over to it. He stares at it in almost a trace. He's mentally trying to stop himself before his quirk takes over, but he can't help but but stare at it.
"Beautiful..." He's seen his fair share of roses but this one take the cake.
Eventually a hand starts to head towards it. Someone might wanna stop Ren before he steal the rose.
Wildcard
Got something else in mind? Post it here.

Makoto can and will try to drag Ren out of the west wing if need be. He has his shadows to help.

Xion | Merlin
[It's a party at a prince's castle. Xion's quirk kicks in before the party and she comes dressed up as a a peasant, hiding her face with the hood of her cloak. She does have a nice dress underneath the clothes, but she feels the need to disguise herself anyway.
Once her cover is blown (shocking, who could have thought it was her) or whenever her quirk stops acting up, she can be seen in a very cute dress.
Her small, brown dragon friend has decided to stay home for the duration of the party.]
Dance Hall/Balcony
[While the furniture are amazing, Xion has a way to make them amazed too. Some of them are gathered on the balcony with her making pink flower petals fall with the power of Merlin. She giggles a bit at their praise.
Eventually, she stays behind at the balcony as they all go back to serving their guests. She hasn't got the nerves to ask a certain someone to dance with her, so she'd rather stay here and watch the evening sky.]
Wildcard
She's around everywhere except the west wing, so catch her anywhere.
Balcony
[He wanders over to the balcony when he catches sight of a familiar face, and smiles when he notices the furniture around her. Once they filter away, he comes over, a smile on his face.]
Want some company?
Makoto Yuki | Persona 3 | Thanatos
Makoto didn't know if it was his essence or maybe because it was night time and the garden reminded him of the cherry blossom trees, but he felt rather soothed and at home within. It was no school rooftop, nor were they actual cherry blossoms since they were bushes, not trees, but it was nice all the same. The moonlight was bright, the breeze was cool and pleasant. He was never really one for parties, but he had decided to go all the same. He would find Ren eventually, but for now, he was quite content setting down on a stone bench and simply basking in the moonlight and taking in the scent of roses around him.
Fireplace/Living Room
Why yes, there was a black winged blue haired boy curled up on the rug in front of the fireplace dozing with the leg rest. It seemed someone had too much to eat and was napping it off. Of course, anyone entering would get the dog/leg rest awake and barking. Makoto jolted slightly from the sound, his arm flopping to the ground as the leg rest left his side to happily greet the new person. Makoto pushed himself up and rubbed his eyes, yawning. "Mm... what time is it?"
Wildcard
[I'll match whatever format you want, if you want another option, lmk and I'll make a starter! 8D]
Fireplace/Living Room
Eventually, Anya gets inside when the leg rest dog decides to greet her and barks happily instead of getting mad with her. The energy he emanates reminds her a lot of Pooka (who is left behind at her cottage for the night) and she happily picks up him to see him better and give him a playful petting session. The encounter soon has her hearing that there is also someone else in the room and she turned her attention to the sleepy blue haired boy, leaving her speechless to how to reply back.
"Well, um, I honestly don't know what the exactly time is right now since I just came in from the dance hall, but it is still night time as far as I can remember," she bumbles a bit in her words while she is still petting the leg rest dog.

Junpei Iori | Prince Ivan
Either way, you could find him in and around the castle:
Dinning room
Exploring the punch bowl (and hoping it wasn't spiked...) and snacking-
Dance Hall
Looking awkwardly at the dance floor--
Rose Garden/Everywhere else
Trying to find Jean to talk to, and petting the wolf puppies and ...well, the foot rest, because it looked like it wanted pets too...
Dance Hall
The sight of it makes her feeling a little homesick and they look really great on the man, so she excuses herself for a moment and walks up to him while still feeling a tad nervous about talking the clothes herself.
“Hi, I notice that you look rather good in those clothes, they remind me so much of home,” she informs him, “My parents used to wore something like that for a ball so long ago.”

Nothing more annoying than the crown that is forever on his head, but at least he's grown more accustomed to it.
For now he and Leia are exploring the castle with some curiosity and are currently in the living room.]
...You know, we're both royalty, right? Why did we end up in some cottage instead of a castle like this? I mean, it's not bad and I'd have no idea what I'd do with a whole castle, but you can't deny that this is pretty cool.
no subject
She wants to move past it, which is why she's even agreed to come with him to this party, otherwise she really had no interest in being here. It's because she doesn't like the awkwardness between them that she's trying. It hasn't been all bad, though. They're still friends. But she knows it's on her to try and bury her feelings about it, she doesn't like the way things are now...
And speaking of things she doesn't like, this dress is one of them. It hangs awfully low in the front, exposing her cleavage, the back is, well, completely not there, and she can barely move in it because it's so... wide. And puffy. Dresses aren't her thing, but they've become something she's had to begrudgingly deal with since her white princess dress happens to be on her sometimes without her consent. As well as the small, silver crown atop her head.
This castle is huge though, and nice, but it's a bit much. As they walk she'll be struggling to gather up the bottom of her dress so she can move a bit easier.]
Hmm. I don't know, I kinda like the cottage. It's cute and quaint, and kinda reminds me of Leronde. Besides, I can barely keep my room clean, think of what'd happen if we had a huge castle.
