Another party in the Beasts' castle
Characters: Jean Kirstein [The Beast]
Campaign: Break
Format: [ brackets ] AND/OR prose do either
Open
Summary: There's a party at the Beasts' castle!
A message (written by a furniture) is sent out through the devices. The strike outs are Jean trying to censor things but they can be seen if you squint.
Welcome to the party on April 10th!
The place is indicated on the attached map.
It is also our Masters' birthday this week (7th)
Do with the information as you please.
Let's have a delightful time!
The places in the castle
The castle & the surrounding rose garden: there are also some wolves wandering in the nearby woods but they do not attack.
Dining room: where the main event, dinner is held. It will take some time for the food to be served since they do a dance.
Library: Not as impressive as the Index main library and most of the books are empty.
Fireplace / Living Room: A cute leg rest that acts like a dog will help you relax by standing under your feet.
Study & the Magic mirror: The magic mirror shows who you're thinking about - if they're in Index, that is.
Dance hall & the attached balcony: The furniture will try to help anyone they think are couple material or seem like need help with making A Move. They may get it wrong sometimes.
West wing & the Enchanted Rose: the restricted area. All the furniture will warn you not to go there and while Jean won't be as aggressive about intruders than before he will still be cautious and snippy.
You can imagine any furniture to be alive, except any bathroom furniture for the sake of my sanity. The main butler is a candelabra, much like the disney versions but even more obnoxious and Lumiére. All the furniture have a French accent except for the leg rest since it barks like a doggo.
Jean's wolf cubs, Connie and Sasha, are around in the library or following Jean. There is also a third one, Frost following Weiss.

Luca Balsa | Count of Monte Cristo
He liked it before, so he decided to come back for another! The atmosphere seems a bit livelier than the last time... Hm. Did the dancing furniture get singing lessons? He doesn't remember, but they're entertaining enough to warrant applause at the end of the show.
Kind of silly, perhaps, but that's what one does when attending dinner and a show.
West Wing
Uh oh... Luca got himself lost in the castle again. You might find him near the entrance, arguing with a talking clock.
"What do you mean, 'don't go there?' This is the way to the library, isn't it?"
Dance Hall (Closed to Alice)
He thought it would be s good idea to invite Alice to the party with him. After all, this was similar to what she must have been used to before everything came crashing down on her... Except a little better than that.
Things went smoothly, in his opinion, until an incident in the dance hall. You see, the furniture must have mistaken his friend for his lover and they didn't want to wait for the absentminded aspect to make a move. He didn't seem to pay too much attention to any of their chatter, so the chair took it into their own metaphorical hands...
Next thing Luca knows, he's been scooped up by a galloping dining chair and practically tossed at poor Alice. Hopefully she doesn't get knocked over as he crashes into her?
Dining Room
She just so happens to be sitting next to him too as she spoke and probably got distracted by the whole performance that she might have forgotten her dinner on a plate for a good while now, currently tapping her fork onto her food to the beat of the song.
How did I forget this for so long?!
"Aren't they?" He smiles at the stranger next to him. "I think they did this at the last party he held, too. Quite talented, those dishes."
It’s totally fine.
“Oh, they did perform in the last party too? I definitely agree with you that they are really talented,” she smiles back at him, “I’m afraid that I wasn’t here during the last party, so this is my first time seeing this performance.”

He furrows his brow and taps his chin. "Quite a long while, to be exact."
no subject
“I understand, still a great party we’re having tonight,” Anya nods quietly.
Dance Hall~
Went very smoothly indeed, even if Alice did wander a bit simply to look about the place; she had at least remembered not to simply walk away without a word to Luca. For all she knew he might want to come along.
Still, it wasn't something expected. At least there was some warning -the sound of a galloping chair- before the crashing toss happened. Alarmed, but at least there was enough time for her to brace. Toto caught the both of them before she could fall over, a large pillow between her and the now horse-sized Toto as the dog had lowered to be landed on. Fingers a little tight at Luca's shoulders, but it could have been worse-
"What in the world-" Alarmed still, yes. "-Are you alright?" She'd had harder falls of curse, but still.
Re: Dance Hall~
OH! This isn't- He tries to push himself off her, but that fluffy coat Toto's got isn't exactly the best support.
"I- Yes, I'm fine!" He glances around him and catches sight of the chair waving its arm at him... Huh. He turns his focus back to Alice. "Sorry, I'm not sure what got into that... Erm... The chair?"
no subject
Alice had to take a deep breath, catching one of Luca's hands just to give him something a little more solid to take a hold of. An easier sort of brace to steady with since she was under him; easier than trying to hold that still fluffy coat. So far nothing hurt so she was likely alright.
For the moment, at least. "Steady now," for tryin to get up. At least it might be easier to move aside and lay on Toto more. Looking towards the chair in question with a frown, brow slightly furrowed. "Rather rude of it, usually chairs try to keep people sitting in them."
no subject
He brushes himself off as best he can. "You'd think that," he absently glances in the direction that chair came from, "But then again none of the furniture in this house can keep still for some reason."
The chair in question has already run off to play matchmaker for some other hapless victim. Luca sighs, turning his attention to the now giant dog in the room... That dog's always nearby, isn't he? Luca's tempted to pet it for a moment, but Alice is also still here...
"Maybe it's something related to an essence?"
no subject
She had noticed there had been a shop in town that was selling it, and all o it seemed to be oddly temperamental as well. Well, could suppose if it was used all day long in and out without a thought or thank you there could be reason- but this was certainly something else entirely.
Alice did sit there a moment as if in thought, "It's possible, more so if it all belongs with this place." The castle, or the index? Could be both, more so if all of this was tied to someone's Essence. A reason she had Toto after all, and he clearly had a mind of his own, even if a rather clever dog.
Fingers flexed before Alice was offering a hand up- "Mind giving me a hand? Rather not slip," even with a large Toto there as support. One fall was quite enough.
