Another party in the Beasts' castle

Summary: There's a party at the Beasts' castle!

A message (written by a furniture) is sent out through the devices. The strike outs are Jean trying to censor things but they can be seen if you squint.

Welcome to the party on April 10th!
The place is indicated on the attached map.
It is also our Masters' birthday this week (7th)

The places in the castle

The castle & the surrounding rose garden: there are also some wolves wandering in the nearby woods but they do not attack.

Dining room: where the main event, dinner is held. It will take some time for the food to be served since they do a dance.

Library: Not as impressive as the Index main library and most of the books are empty.

Fireplace / Living Room: A cute leg rest that acts like a dog will help you relax by standing under your feet.

Study & the Magic mirror: The magic mirror shows who you're thinking about - if they're in Index, that is.

Dance hall & the attached balcony: The furniture will try to help anyone they think are couple material or seem like need help with making A Move. They may get it wrong sometimes.

West wing & the Enchanted Rose: the restricted area. All the furniture will warn you not to go there and while Jean won't be as aggressive about intruders than before he will still be cautious and snippy.

You can imagine any furniture to be alive, except any bathroom furniture for the sake of my sanity. The main butler is a candelabra, much like the disney versions but even more obnoxious and Lumiére. All the furniture have a French accent except for the leg rest since it barks like a doggo.

Jean's wolf cubs, Connie and Sasha, are around in the library or following Jean. There is also a third one, Frost following Weiss.

[One layer of Leia's dress ends up completely burying her beneath it, and she struggles just to push it off of her, poking her head out from underneath the fabric.

What she sees is not what she expects. Perhaps her imagination got the better of her? She blinks, her gaze drawn to the guests all seemingly having fun.]

Everyone looks like they're enjoying themselves... and definitely haven't turned into furniture.

[Yet?

Then she sees him offering his hand and hesitates briefly before taking it, quietly replying with a "thanks." This dress isn't something she can fight against.]

Maybe we really did overthink it.

[If he noticed the hesitation...he's not going to think anything of it, and when she's up on her own two feet he'll release his hold and look around.]

Guess we should go around and meet people, huh? Though after all that, think I'm going to hit the bar first.

[She carefully fixes her dress. At least their overactive imaginations were a good distraction- for Leia especially. Things felt relatively normal between them for a bit and it's a nice change of pace. But without that, she's back to feeling a little lost, and awkward around him again. She just wants everything to be back to the way it was... but it's been hard to completely put their argument, and what he'd done, out of her mind.

She nods when he speaks, half wondering if there's an age restriction on drinking here. Not that she intends to drink, she's only mildly curious.]

I'll stay here and just make sure nothing looks suspicious.

What, not going to try out the food and dessert table?

[A light joke as he also feels that distance returning between them. Well, not that he can blame her, and he's going to respect it.]

[Leia considers for a moment. It's probably okay to relax a little?]

Guess it would be a shame to let food go to waste...

[...Pft.]

C'mon. Bar's in the same direction.

[And they're walking.]

Hey... Do you remember that one movie we saw where that guy was trapped in an underground labyrinth, and he's warned not to eat anything, but totally caved when he saw all the food set out on the table? He ended up getting trapped in the labyrinth forever...

[Hint, hint. Is she trying to mess with him intentionally now?]

[She does realize who she's with right—]

Oooh, yeah I remember. And then ended up turning into a monster to guard it for all eternity right?

Damn, what a shame... Especially with all these good looking food and desserts.

[They're now within sight of the food tables and it really is a delicious looking spread.

But the fact that she's joking with him does not go unnoticed.]

[... Her stomach audibly growls at the sight.]

Well... if everyone else is eating it then it's probably okay?

Want me to taste test for you?

Then I'll just be tempted to make you try things you don't like.

Now that's just evil. Sure you should have been a princess and not some evil witch?

[Aren't evil witches haggard and ugly? Safe to say she doesn't appreciate the comment and just gives him a flat glare instead.]

Really? Making you eat food you don't want qualifies as evil to you? I'm starting to understand why witches curse men like you.

[She clearly needs to up her witch story game, there are definitely plenty of hot sexy ones that Alvin probably wouldn't mind getting cursed by—]

Oh, like you'd like it if I made you eat food you didn't like?

[Of course he wouldn't, and that's another reason why they're probably stuck with these Essences to begin with.]

I wouldn't, but I wouldn't go calling you evil. Just obnoxious.

[Which he kind of is anyway.]

Nah, I bet you'd call me evil if it actually happened.

[Also filling up his plate.]

Can't you be both?

[She's about to grab a plate herself when she sees movement out of the corner of her eye. And she turns her head to see the doggoman, and two other doggoman friends (?), a lamp, and a hat rack inching closer towards them.

Or... so it seems. Because they stop when she turns to watch them. Or, actually, it's like they're studying her and Alvin? Hard to tell when furniture doesn't have eyes and all. But she can see the lamp sort of gesture in their direction, then it turns to its friends. It's all very... unsettling.]

Now that would really make me quite the villain, wouldn't it?

[Just smirking a bit as he grabs a plate and already tosses a piece of cheese into his mouth. What, he's kind of hungry.

And unbeknownst to him, that trio of furniture start making their way towards them. As well as a few more coming in closer from Alvin's side.]

[Her eyes are locked onto the encroaching furniture that Alvin has yet to notice. Should she be... concerned?

Because she is.]

Alvin... ? I think we have company...

[Hearing some shuffling behind her, she turns around and sees some approaching her. Maybe they're just hungry?]

Hm?

[With his plate now full, he turns around and—]

!?

[He almost drops his plate in surprise.]

Uh. When did they all get here?

[More importantly why??]

Right around when you started loading up your plate.

[Then she narrows her gaze at him.]

... Did you do something to intimidate them?

[It's a fair assumption, he's cursed.]

[Wow.]

How could I? I've been with you the whole time and was focused on the food.

[......Wow that's weird to say that he was more focused on the food for once compared to Leia.

But uh.

...Yeeeeah.]

Let's just...try to step away.

[She nods, and attempts to go around the furniture, one little doggoman that's near her feet, putting some space between her and Alvin. You know. Just in case they want him and not her. Mostly to just give themselves some room, though.

But the second she moves away from Alvin, the doggoman barks and jumps towards her, causing her to stop. Then the lamp comes up behind her, blocking her from going in the other direction. All she can do is either go forward, or go towards Alvin.]

... Uh, maybe they're escorting us out because they think we tried to kidnap their friend?

[At the same time, he's being herded closer to Leia...one of the coat racks actually reaches out to take his plate! Which is actually rather impressive how it was able to move one of the arms just enough to do so.]

Honestly that is sounding like the best option possible right now.

[And then again he is bumped from behind and is forced to step closer to Leia until he's right next to her. Hi. He's just going to. Try to sweet talk to these things]

Hey, listen, I know it might not have looked great, but we were only trying to help, honest! [...Rich coming from him, but it's true!] I'm sure this is all just a little misunderstanding...

[Alvin's shoulder bumps up against hers, and she just glances at him without much of an expression. She's far too focused on the furniture currently surrounding them.]

Uh... Y-Yeah, what he said. Can't really blame us for getting the wrong idea in this place. We just thought we could lift the curse if we took the little guy-- or girl, outside!

[Then the other lamp post moves closer to Leia and gently pushes her right into Alvin's chest. The bulkiness of her dress also makes it exceptionally difficult to back up, so all she can do is look up at him apologetically.]
