006 // I'll Come Back To Life When The Sun Kicks In, And I'll Wipe My Eyes Where The Dark Has Been
Characters: Roxas [The Little Mermaid] and YOU!
Campaign: Break
Format: Either or, I will match!
Open
Summary: A catch-all for Roxas for after Frankenhyde
A - Journal Entry
[After they all return to the Index from their time in Frankenhyde, Roxas spends a couple of days relatively quiet. And who could really blame him? Going berserk, attacking people who were friends, and ultimately dying by the hands of Hyde was a very harrowing experience. While he knows it wasn't ultimately his fault for falling under the influence, he still feels like he has to say something to those he might have hurt... and to those he definitely did hurt.]
Sender: The Little Mermaid || Roxas
Recipient: Everyone
I know that a lot of us were pretty badly affected by the past story, and a lot of us have done some things that we weren't proud of. But even if we were all under influences that were out of our control, I still wanted to reach out to anyone who I might have hurt when I wasn't myself.
I'm sorry if I hurt anyone. I'm normally not like that.
B - Around the Index
[Roxas can be found around the Index later on, doing various tasks to keep his mind busy. One such task involves his usual side-job of making deliveries aboard his skateboard. He's not afraid to venture out into the wilds to deliver some mail to Aspects, but he could also be seen (or run into) while he's in the Index properly, packages in hand. While the job lets him keep his mind occupied, he's not against stopping to say hello from time to time.]
[He can also be found in the forest, getting some practice with his Essence powers. Given his latest upgrades, he can be found near the river, a water elemental near him that, using the magic of his voice, he's trying to shape into a specific form. It looks a little funny, but he's still practicing. And still feeling distracted.]
[During the evenings around sunset, Roxas can be found atop the Library's roof, an ice cream in hand as he looks out over the Index. He eats his frozen treat quietly as he observes the view, doing his best to keep the melancholic thoughts away. He's a little hard to spot, but if you do, you could to come up and say hello and pull him from his thoughts.]

Library roof
Roxas was still here, though. On the roof, with ice cream. Right where he first met the guy... Good thing Kokichi still remembers how to get on the roof.
Soon enough, Roxas will feel someone poking his shoulder. ]
Hey, you told me you were gonna share that with me next time we're up here! [ Except there was no promise, Kokichi's messing with him. ]

H-Hey! I remember you! You're back??
no subject
Yep! Fought tooth and nail to escape the enemy spies, but I'm back in action!
no subject
[If he'd known, he would have brought ice cream. Maybe he should bring one of his bamboo shoots up here...]

There were some people I really hurt.
no subject
Because I don’t think it’s that bad where it’ll ruin friendships!
no subject
And I said some really mean things to her, too. Hurtful things.

B In the Forest
[Fuuka had decided to get more comfortable in her frog form, and what better way then trying to hop? So, teal green and palm sized, frog Fuuka was sitting on the edge of the river staring very intently at a rock. It was only a foot away, but it felt like miles. Squinting, she took a deep breath and prepared to jump when suddenly--a splash! But it wasn't her. And there was...singing?]
[Turning her head, she blinked and croaked involuntarily, seeing a spikey haired blonde boy she hadn't seen in awhile along side a strange water creature. What was his name again? Ah, that was right--!]
"Roxas-kun~! It has been awhile!"
[Hopping towards him, she momentarily forgot she was a frog, just happy to see someone she knew.]
no subject
[Roxas blinks at his name, his song momentarily halting as he looks around. Oh, he knows that voice! But he doesn't see anyone around... until he notices the frog hopping towards him.]
Fuuka? Is that you?
[Even the water elemental turns its "head" towards the frog.]
no subject
[Reaching up with her webbed 'hands,' she seemed to push back on her frog head and it fell back like a hood. In a blink, she was herself again in a frog onesie, the frog head hood hanging behind her head.]
"I'm still figuring that out...you see to be figuring things out too."
[She nodded at the elemental with a small smile. She didn't remember seeing that the last time she saw him. Was it new?]
no subject
[At least, Roxas thinks so. He'd never seen anyone turn into a frog before his eyes like that.]
Oh, yeah, I am. I learned how to make water elementals, and now I'm trying to make them look more like... well, like something from my world.
[Even though he has mixed feelings about the lesser Nobodies, they were still something familiar to him.]

How are you holding up after all that?
no subject
I just feel really bad. I know I hurt people, but I just... didn't care. And I hurt friends, too.
no subject
no subject
I know it's affected everyone, and no one is really at fault. I still feel bad about it though.
Were you affected by the story too?

B - Deliveries
[Of course, that's not the only thing. When Roxas would arrive with her delivery, he might find himself being stared down by a familiar robotic deer from the story they just left all while Rosalia busies herself with some empty pots.]
no subject
[Is... that deer supposed to be there? Was it dangerous?]

B - Atop the Library's Roof
[A teasing grin in Roxas's direction, Zidane's up and hopping around on the Library's roof himself. How'd he get up? Eh... probably some other unconventional manner... don't ask questions; he's here now.]
Enjoying the scenery?
[Even if it was a bit... less than ideal.]
no subject
What's so wrong with sitting on a roof?
[It's said with a grin of his own, before he turns back to look out over the Index.]
Yeah. It's not the same view as the one back home, but... it's not bad.
no subject
[He waves his hands, but then shrugs. Looking over the Index himself, he nods.]
I get that. Looks great, but it's just missing that something.

Library roof
Just like old times, huh?
no subject
Yeah... it is, isn't it?
[The library's roof might not be as tall as the clock tower, but it was still pretty high. And there's plenty of room for her if she wants to sit down without him scooting over too much.]
[He remains silent for a moment, looking down at his own ice cream and toying with it in his hands.]
...How are you doing? Are you... did you heal okay?
no subject
I've healed completely. Apparently, after you die you just come back all healed up.
[She's not sure if Roxas knows she died in the Story, but now he does.]
Not that I want to do that again.
