§ instructions.

The first Act of our fourth campaign is underway! This is the designated log for all Main Scenes. Others are free to create their own toplevels for the Sub Quests, which are detailed below. Each Main Scene has their own unique toplevel and those cast into the roles are to thread their scene under each. All scene instructions are provided in the toplevels.

Reminder that everyone is coming with a fairy form! Feel free to use and/or refer to the meme for what form your character takes. Characters will remain in these forms throughout the entire act, but will change to fit their role when in a scene. So if someone was originally looking like a centaur, they will revert back to their normal form with whatever extra touches needed.

Finally, just to be clear, characters who are in Main Scenes are not immediately dropped in to their location and will have to step into a designated fairy ring made of iridescent mushrooms and flowers and then return. Threading all of that isn't necessary, but it's to help give a better idea that characters can take a break between scenes or wait a bit to help with other things like the Sub Quests.

§ sub quests.

Everyone is free to participate in the Sub Quests. There are no specific top levels, so you're free to incorporate them however you wish in your own top level. As a reminder, the main setting for everyone not in a scene is within the fairy castle and everyone is in fairy forms.

¶ I. Fairy Pranks. Fairies are known to be mischievous, and the ones at the party are the worst. They will spice up people's foods, drop cake on others' heads, even inflict minor spells and curses on people! From changing skin colors to turning people into frogs or even bugs, these fairies are such a menace. Catch them in the act and stop them, else try and help those who are victims. (Any curses inflicted are temporary and should wear off naturally after an hour.)


¶ II. Stupid Cupids. A specific group of fairies called cupids are making their rounds. Completely drunk, they're firing their arrows willy nilly, and those who are struck will be enthralled with the first person they see. However, it's not always romantic. In fact some might just want some intense friendship, others are seeking some kind of familial connections, and then there are the few who just want to fight everyone.


¶ III. Weeding the Castle. While the main party hall is safe, the outside is definitely not. If they're not careful, some creepy crawlers may try to slip in. Take care of the hostile plants by either destroying them or by trying to restore them to their original forms. However, this can only be done singing or using special fairy dust acquired by one of the pranking fairies flying about in the party. Watch out for the Erasers, too—they are disguised as mandragoras, so if they're pulled out they will first try to deafen with their screams before attacking. Another form they take are snapdragons, but they will actually transform into a dragon-like beast with a lot of poisonous teeth.


¶ IV. Clearing out Spindles. To help the King and Queen, those not busy with scenes can help clear out the spindles littered about the castle. They could be in any room, closet, bathroom, or tower, so perhaps those taking care of the weeds can do this as well. However, be careful. Should anyone prick their finger they will fall into a deep sleep and must be awakened somehow (the method is left up to the players). Some spindles are Erasers in disguise, and but instead of falling asleep, getting pricked (or more accurately, stabbed), will paralyze and cause severe hallucinations. They also use razor sharp threads to attack and try to bind those they are fighting. But they're made of wood, so fire is a good way to get them.

¶ V. Wildcard. Make up your own prompt! Feel free to use the wildcard for general party prompts and castle exploration. Outside of the grand hall where the main festivities are held, the castle is run down and lifeless, overrun with withering, rotten, hostile plants. It's even worse outside.

[Puuurrs~ It's fine, Shizuo thinks he's just a random two tailed cat. He can purr and make trill noises however much he wants. This is fine. He rolls onto his side, purrfectly content staying on his lap. Two blue flames were floating about and around them, but they won't feel hot when they linger too close to Shizuo.

He's not completely ignoring everything Shizuo was telling him though. He's glancing up at him as he talks about his brother...and then wonders if he was a normal cat. That actually gets a headshake from him.]

[Shizuo only barely notices the blue flames, but since they aren't posing a threat, he doesn't pay much mind to them.]

...Oh? So you really can understand what I'm saying?

[chippedsoul]

[He nods, a paw reaching up for his hand for more pets. This is pathetic. His head twitches, shrugging off the voice. Such wasted potential. You should be taking more advantage of this!]

[hatesviolence]

Want more pets, huh?

[Another soft smile as he gently pets the kitty—well as gently as he can, and unaware of what's really going on.]

Not hungry, are you?

[chippedsoul]

[He's not breaking bones, so it's fine. He blinks, looking at up again at the mention of food and then around. He's not that hungry, but he wouldn't be against it.

...

But he can just get food himself lat-Or just let him do it for you. Indulge a little! Getting pets is already pushing it.]

[hatesviolence]

[For once Hyde's voice isn't that rude. But Shizuo takes kitty's looking around as a signal that yes, they're hungry.]

Let's see if they have anything...should have some fish or something. [And already cradling Kazukitty in his arms as he stands.] Ah, unless you eat something different?

[chippedsoul]

[He just purrs in response, stretching one of his front legs out and letting it hang. Maybe he'll just sleep here instead.]

[hatesviolence]

[Well you can snooze Kazukitty. Shizuo will just lightly pet his head before walking over towards the tables.]

[chippedsoul]

[He's content staying like this until his nose picks up the smell of food. His head turns so his bleary eyes can spot the approaching food. Wanting a little higher ground, he shifts himself so he could climb up onto Shizuo's shoulder.]

[hatesviolence]

Hm? Wanna ride up there?

[Feeling the Kazukitty move around, he just helps by giving him a little support. He's used to Dokusonmaru climbing all over him, so he doesn't really mind it that much. Just don't mind the bolts sticking out from his neck.]

[chippedsoul]

[He doesn't seem to mind at all. If he wasn't demanding affection, he'd find it really strange. As of right now, they're rather troublesome when he's trying to press up against Shizuo's head. Was it wobbling?]

[hatesviolence]

[He feels Kazukitty try to rub against his head.]

...Oi, watch it.

[Kind of tickles, so he'll be tilting his head away, unaware of the loosened bolt.]

[chippedsoul]

[What's that? Watch what? Either Kazuma's ignoring him, or he missed what Shizuo said, cause the bolt eventually comes loose. All of the sudden he's falling over, because there was no head to brush up against.]

What-! [His silence is broken as he comes face to face, or no face of a body without a head. That certainly startles him enough as he goes poof, and stumbles onto the floor behind Shizuo. Once the smoke clears, there's just human Kazuma laying on his back.]

[hatesviolence]

[Kazuma isn't the only one surprised. Having forgotten his current "condition," there is a very strange sensation when he feels his head suddenly rolling off its own neck and falling to the floor.]

The fuck—!

[SPINNING. A LOT OF SPINNING—and then land right on the face. Ow. But also bouncing a bit before starting to just........rolling away.

His body? Going to actually kind of "panic" as it blindly reaches where the head used to before trying to run after the loose head. Unfortunately, Shizuo is still figuring out how to control his disconnected body, and instead the body will trip over Kazuma.]

[chippedsoul]

[If he was still a cat, his fur would be standing on end seeing a head just roll away, because what the fuck???] -Grrk! [And now the headless body was on top of him. He's wasting no time pushing it off, baffled at how it was still moving without a head.] What the hell?!

[This is just too unsettling, the flames floating around blazing erratically. Since when could Shizuo's head come off?? Actually where did his head go-]

[hatesviolence]

[There will be some shrieks as Shizuo's head continues to roll through the floor.]

Dammit—HEY WATCH YOUR DAMN FOOT!

[...And may have been kicked a bit. His body will be staggering back up to try and fumble around to catch up to the head, but it's going in the complete opposite direction. By the time Shizuo's head stops and he can see this, he just clicks his tongue and shouts at it.]

Not that way, over here!

[Somehow his body reacts and corrects itself! ...Only to get blocked by other faeries scrambling about. And then if that wasn't bad enough—]

O-Oi! Put me down!!!

[.............Some of those pranking faeries? Just going to pick up his head to carry it off.]

[chippedsoul]

[Well, shit. He just needs to shove the freakiness aside and focus on getting his friend's head back. The body should be fine on it's own for a bit. What a weird thought to process. He quickly gets up and bolts after the faeries. Maybe if he focus hard enough, he could aim these floating fireballs at them. Once he can get closer to them, he sends the flames in their direction. Hopefully his aim is true and he only hits the faeries.]

[hatesviolence]

[His aim is true!




BUT THAT JUST MAKES THE FAERIES DROP HIM so you know there's a lot of swearing as he's now plummeting to the ground. Please catch.]

[chippedsoul]

[He practically lunges, putting all his body into it as he catches him. He goes sliding across the ground, causing a few of the faeries to watch in awe. They then applaud at the performance, laughing among themselves, even as a few them are singed from the flames.

Eitherway, the head has been caught!!]

...Since when did your head come off? [He's trying very hard not to look too disturbed at the fact he's holding a head. It's probably safe to say the weird effects of cupid's arrow have been shocked out of him.]

[hatesviolence]

[Hold on, he's going through some vertigo because falling and suddenly grabbed and all that.

But once the world stops spinning, he squints up at Kazuma and blinks.]

Kazuma? Ah—ever since we got here. Think I'm a dullahan or somethin' like that.

[chippedsoul]

. . . [Even when he knew the head was going to talk, he was still not ready for it. He needs a moment before responding. His friend's head, is talking in his hands. How even-]

Can you get your body to stop moving so I can find it?

[hatesviolence]

Aahh, yeah, I'll try. Still kind of working it out—it's pretty weird.

[Understatement of the year, right here.

Anyway, he's going to furrow his brows as if trying to concentrate and "feel" out where his body is. He knows it's floundering around...ah there. There will be the sound of a crash as it suddenly trips over some chairs.]

[chippedsoul]

[...Well, now he'll know exactly where to go. He gets back onto his feet, being careful not smush Shizuo's head as he holds onto it. As he makes his way over to the source of the sound, a few faeries have decided to hover around the fallen headless body of Shizuo's. They were using their magic to summon various things and dumping them on top of the body. Flower pots, books, people, food, whatever they could find and laughing up a storm.

Kazuma frowns. He tries to focus the floating flames to scare them off so they could get closer.]

[hatesviolence]

[There will be some electricity mixed in with those flames because Shizuo will be shouting at the faeries while his body struggles to get itself up to swat at them.]

HEY! YOU WANNA BE TURNED INTO FAIRY DUST!?

[chippedsoul]

[There's a hush oooh from the faeries, startled by Shizuo's loud voice and fleeing from the charged flames.]

I'm still holding you. [Please don't electrocute him too. Once the faeries fly off, he can walk over and push some of the chairs aside so Shizuo's body can get back up.]
