Summary: After spending all that time in the ocean, Shizuo is not having a great hair day. His hair is changing into all different kinds of colors and he is not happy.

[Should anyone be around Shizuo's house, which is located in a quieter residential district near one of the larger city parks, they will hear a very loud yell something like—]

AUUUUGGGHHHH!!!

[—followed by a sudden onslaught of an electrical lightning storm. Even those not nearby may notice a strange gathering of storm clouds somewhere in the distance, but then again it is the Index. Random things happen every day...]

[The writing is very stiff with some letters a little warped with deep blotches of ink at the end, as if the writer was restraining every ounce of his strength to not tear through the paper.]

Anyone ever use the hair products in this place or.......have their hair turned weird colors?

B: Storming Through Town

[Well, he could stay home and hope someone is able to find something. But he's not that much of a coward and honestly he wants to find the place that sold him the hair dye he used to begin with to give them a piece of his mind. (Or make them feel like he's about to give them a piece of theirs if he's not careful—) So he will be venturing into town...only to find himself standing at where the shop used to be, a "CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE" sign hanging off its door. It clearly looks as if it had been abandoned for quite some time.

There is a sudden SNAP as his hand reaches out to crush it in one grip, more lightning striking around him as the air becomes completely electrified.]

..............I'm gonna find that lying cheap bastard......!!!!

[If no one has run into him by now, there is a very high chance an encounter will happen as he tears through the streets searching for the shopkeeper that had sold him the hair dye he had been using since arriving into this place. And should anyone have the misfortune of doing so, they will notice that not only is his hair a random color, sometimes changing every other minute, but it's styled in the classic Frankenstein monster stripes.

Anyway this guy looks like he's ready to murder someone and he probably will if left unchecked. Just be careful not to get zapped—there's a very intense electrical discharge coming frmo the enraged man.]

[After being in this place for a while he never really cared about the traditional honorifics, but since this person is obviously Japanese (or at least similar culture), he can't tell the age of the person so he can't really push for proper etiquette.

-chan........ T'ch, nope can't like it.]

Still sounds weird, though.

[The cauldron thing... But other than the whole "chan" thing and being already irritable, he can't really be suspicious. He could at least try and look into it.]

[Although his anger trigger is not even an inch long, he at least has a very quick and fast cool down rate if done properly. Being surprised is one way to do it.

But when asked what happened... His face contorts back into that earlier rage.]

[Although still tense from his anger, a small part of him loosens a bit as he stares up at Dojima.]

[Small blessings, as enraged as he is, even Shizuo wouldn't just fling the cart away. He at least was going to have the courtesy of setting it down somewhere else. But before he can find such a place, he suddenly hears a familiar voice and feels someone run into him?

Or something, it was kind of light.

But it's enough to snap him out a little, especially when he looks down to see who it is.]

Who——— Kotori??

[There's a flash of recognition of a person in his way, and he's forced to stop. However, being disrupted only worsens his mood.]

T'ch, none of your business.

[There's another wave of electricity through the air, enough to make anyone feel a strange tingling sensation. And with a hard glare, he just tries to move past the man.]

[Yup, it's Kotori. Cheeks flushed from the cold and the sudden sprint, breathing hard, eyes wide with slowly dissipating panic. Good, he recognizes her... ...... And it's only THEN that the rest of her brain realizes what one small part was worried about... His Essence taking over. After all, that's what Disciple's did...]

Y-yeah, it's me... [.... Aaaand it's only NOW that just running up and grabbing him in the middle of the street might be awkward. Very slowly and carefully, she unwraps her arms from around him.] I... sorry but... the cart...

Hm? [He was so focused on finding some intruder, he wasn't even paying attention to what's in front of him.]

Ah...it's green? [A really obnoxious shade of green that's been mixed with the natural brown in an odd stripe pattern. That's not actually his doing, is it?]

In any case, there's a loud crack as the hand gripping his door crumples the wood.]

When I get my hands on that scamming bastard—!!!

[This is not Disciple's imagination. There's a sudden electrical surge that Shizuo's entire house lights up.

He'd be great for Christmas.]

[ISN'T SHE DOING SOMETHING DANGEROUS?? However his words fall when she continues to talk and...the cart?

There's a loud braying sound above him as he realizes he's still holding up a cart.

Ah.]

Step back, I'm just moving it.

. . . [All right, he's starting to get the picture of what actually happened now.]

Hey, let's step out here for a moment. Tell me who did this to your hair.

[The door is going to splinter even more as he remembers more.]

Some—dwarf I don't know! Some shop that sold hair dye!

Destroying your home isn't going to help us locate this merchant. [He takes a step back, in hopes to coax him away from the house. And as he looks to Shizuo's hair, it's turned a shade of purple. Now he sees what he meant about his comment earlier on the color.]

It's really changing colors...

Yeah, I was a police detective back in Inaba, Japan. Been on the force a while now.

[He offered a hand to Shizuo to help him up. C'mon, get out of the dirt, kid.]

So I at least have some investigation skills. I was just planning to go see if the guards in town would want to take me on, actually. I'd be happy to help you out.

[Especially if it meant you not accidentally hurting someone...]

[She nods, stepping back to a safe distance and, while she's at it, recovering her new clothes and... kind of smashed sweet potato. And now she feels kind of stupid for barging in like that, not trusting him more. Well, she'll trust him now. Nice and easy, dude.]

[That just incites another bolt of lightning that actually strikes the house, once more lighting it up.]

That's it, I'm going to find that bastard—!!!

[And that's all he manages to say before he just blows past Disciple, running at full speed as the air continues to buzz with hot electricity.]

[Shizuo just stares at the man for a moment before taking the proffered hand and stands.]

...T'ch. Guess it's fine.

[Shizuo looks around before finally setting the cart back on the road. Immediately the driver makes the oxen run off through the streets in a panic. No one could blame him. And for all the shouting about blocking the traffic, clearly Shizuo is the one who caused the most trouble.........

But once he's out of the way, everyone quickly resumes, not wanting to stay any longer than they already have.]

[Phew, okay... NOW Kotori steps forward attentively.]

Are... you okay, Shizuo-san? Is it Hyde again?

[She's VERY glad it's not something like the Monster taking over.]

Ah- [Well he's powerless to stop a guy with super strength and sending lightning everywhere. So all he can do is let him pass and follow after him the best he can. You know I can stop him for you. What do you say? Sparky here look like he'll zap someone dead any minute. He scoffs.]

Like you aren't planning to cause harm yourself. [He's really riled up though! Come on! Let me take him!] Shut up- [He's going to lose Shizuo at this rate, with only a smoking trail to tell him where he's going.] Shizuo!

[He'll have moved a little away so as not to be a bother to the remaining bystanders, but it's clear he's still agitated and would rather be heading off somewhere.]

No, it's not. Some ba—[..................] Asshole sold me bad hair dye. He's already run off so I'm trying to find him so I can kick his ass.

[Asshole is better than bastard, sure. As well as not saying kill him. Way to go, Shizuo, so proud.]

[Paying no attention or even noticing that Disciple is following, Shizuo goes down a street...and then just vaults up a two story wall because that's faster than going around it. Yep.]

. . . [Now can I come out and catch him?] Tch. [He ignores the temptation. It would not be worth the consequences. Shizuo is still making a ruckus anyway, so while he may have to go around, he is still leaving him a trail to follow.]

[..... Now that he mentions it, the bright green looks a little more aqua now.]

A-ah... Now I get it. [She's... also a bit perplexed because THAT'S what he's all bothered about? But she barely stops herself from saying as much.] I'm actually a little relieved. For a second, I thought it was Hyde, or something new in your Essence... I've never seen you this riled up before, Shizuo-san.

[Which, you have to admit, is pretty impressive given it's been almost a year.]

Because I hate people who lie and cheat and then run away. If they're willing to do bad business they should face the consequences.

[Indeed there is definitely a trail left behind as there are things overturned and the buzz of electricity left in his wake.

Until finally he stops at where the shop he had visited not that long is.........
