Now here's someone he expected to show his face. Adachi grins.

"Why, if it isn't Yu Narukami himself. Come to give me a lecture?"

[izanyagi]

"No."

They were past lectures at this point, really. Besides, Yu knew that behind that smile, there was something else. Pain, possibility that could have been him. Without thinking, he briefly ran a hand over the part of his ear that the bullet had grazed which seemed forever ago.

"My uncle is better at that than me."

He also knows Adachi does have a bit of fear when it comes to Dojima. Enough that he was willing to go back in jail. But that Adachi before him isn't like that.

At least...not yet.

"You don't have to act like this, Adachi-san."

But at least he'll try.

Dojima sure was good at his lectures. Not that they had made a lasting effect on him yet. Sure, he felt nervous around Dojima whenever he was mad - especially more since after he used his essence here - but it would take a while to get him change his heart again. Maybe.

On the other hand, he misses his good relationship with Dojima already, since he did have some joy talking with him. But not enough to immediately bow and be apologetic. Besides, did anyone need him when Yu was here, being better and much more lovable than him? Not really.

"I don't know, that sounds awfully like a start of a lecture to me."

Always the complainer, but Yu is used to it. After all, one of Adachi's first talk with him was about being forced to take a case looking out for a cat. He just stays silent, although the clouds around him darken slightly. Harder to control one's emotions when they display around yourself.

"What's your last memory before coming here?"

Subject change.

Adachi raises his eyebrows, both at the clouds and the subject change.

"Why ask? Isn't it obvious I'm from before you kicked my ass." He's aware at this point he lost, but since he hasn't experienced it, he's still gonna be a douche about it.
