And now you'll have two teachers it seems.

[Thankfully Ren can multitask, so he can still talk with him.] Before I had to leave, I would usually make curry at Leblanc Curry and Coffee. I, um, worked part time there so I got to learn the owner's recipe. I can't share that one as I'm sure Boss would have my hide, but I have made my own version as well.

Sakura-san taught me a lot about coffee as well, so I can make that too. Even came up with my own brew.

[It's a half-truth. Yes he did work in Leblanc at times and learned a lot from Sojiro, but it wasn't the full story. While he trusts Minato, he didn't want word of his criminal getting out to Yu and especially his uncle.

Though Akechi is here so that might be a matter of time anyway.]

I should make you curry and coffee sometime once all the food is safe again.

[Or maybe it was an elaborate scheme to have people cook for him!! Okay, no, not really. He can fend for himself.]

Coffee is good. Never had it with curry, though.

[He was just about done with the soup, so he stood up from the table and went to the panty, rummaging around a bit as he listened to Ren. He returned with a bag of coffee beans and set it on the table where Ren would be seated when he finished.]

I never got around to getting myself a coffee grinder and all the other stuff. You take it, consider it a thank you for saving me. And making me soup.

[Ren likes cooking for others, so he doesn't mind.]

It's a surprisingly good combination. I had no idea either until I worked at Leblanc.

[It wasn't long before Ren got done with his omelette and came with his plate of it when he sees the bag of coffee.

He can't help but smile again.] Thank you and you're welcome. I'll have to get one myself if I can.

[If not, he'll just have to do things the old fashioned way.]

I saw a few hand cranked ones at the store, I think. So you should be good. Although I hear grinding it the old fashion way brings out the taste better... that’s what the clerk said when I bought the beans.

[That’s why he hadn’t bought anything yet to make the coffee. He wasn’t sure and then he sort of forgot.]

Oh it does, even if it's more work. It's much better than that cheap instant crap.

[Yeah he might have gotten spoiled living in Leblanc when it comes to coffee. You can blame Sojiro for turning Ren into a bit of a coffee snob.]

Not that Minato couldn’t relate. He liked good coffee. Instant was a last resort type of deal]

Then I’ll look forward to your coffee soon enough.

[More like a no resort in Ren's opinion. He'd rather drink dirty water.]

[Oh he does occasionally drink tea. He just prefers coffee nowadays.

He just merely grins before starting to eat his omelette, since it was gonna go cold if he didn't.

Once the food situation is back to normal, aside from possibly getting revenge on the one responsible for the poisonings (and he had a feeling he will based on his essence), he'll make sure to make good curry and coffee for Minato. As well as teach him lessons on cooking. Though hopefully it doesn't cause a conflict with Yu's lessons.

Even if it doesn't push Minato closer to Ren, Ren is just happy to be a good friend and make sure Minato himself remains happy.]
