A - The Doctor is out [Network]

I will not be meeting with clients in person until further notice. If you must make an inquiry for some medicine, use the journal to contact me. I will let you know when it's ready to be picked up.

B- A nightly stroll in the forest

[Anyone who happens to be wandering around or living in the forest, might hear a disturbance during the nighttime. It doesn't occur every night, but when it does, it sounded like someone was cutting down the trees. There's also a low rumbling like thunder that occasionally accompanied the sound afterwards, like a rhythmic thumping. Looking into the source, they will find themselves at the edge of the Index. The ground appeared unstable, with trees uprooted and large boulders that have been split into smaller pieces scattering about the area.

This warzone was only found along the edge of the Index, and every few nights, a new area would turn into a disaster area. If someone manages to catch the person in the act, it turns out to be the Disciple, or was it the Disciple? The low rumbling noise was from him ramming trees into the barrier or throwing boulders at it. Whatever he could pick up and throw, which was almost anything, he was directing them at the barrier. A few times he was crazy enough to punch the barrier.] I need...to go... [If you manage to get in close enough, you can hear him mumbling about going somewhere. It doesn't seem like he's quite all there himself. Are those pajamas he's wearing?]

[Roxas sees the taunt, and his grips on the swords tightened. If he wasn't going to make the first move, Roxas will.]

[He dashes forward, swords angled to the sides until he gets close. When he does, he lets out a cry, swinging the blades at the man's middle.]

[A grin forms across his face. Here he comes~. As Roxas charges forward, he turns to swing the log in his direction to meet his swords.]

[He swings the blades, hard, against the log, and with the strength behind the blows it's enough to leave deep notches in the wood. He yanks the blades free with a tug, and he swings again, aiming to hit him below the log.]

[He moves fast, even while wielding the two weapons. He may not have his Keyblades, and he may not have his Light powers, but there was still some impressive force behind the blows.]

[He didn't anticipate how quickfooted his opponent was and his swords just scrap his clothes. There's a loud thud as he drops the log to force some space between them. There may have been a dark stain appearing where his clothes had been cut, but the wound won't stay open for long.

Despite the injury, it only seems to excite Hyde more. Just how skilled was his opponent? Hunched over like some feral beast, he lunges at Roxas from above, clawed hands ready to strike down and skewer him.]

[The lunge was surprising, but Roxas was quick to pull his blades up, blocking the claws by crossing the blades in an X above him. It was still a struggle once the Disciple's attack hit, but he managed to push the man off with a grunt.]

[Feral as he seemed to be, it was easy to picture him not as the Disciple, but as some strange Heartless. He twirled the sword in his right hand before lunging again, swinging with one, two, three quick swipes one right after another with each blade.]

[He dodges to and fro from his sword attacks. It was almost rhythmic with each swipe, but he sadly has to cut the music now. With reckless abandon he grabs a hold of both Roxas swords, their sharp edges cutting into flesh, but that didn't seem to bother Disciple.] Aw, these swords are kind of flimsy compared to the last one.

[With a snap, they both become blunt weapons.] How about I try stabbing you now! [Using the broken tips like daggers, he starts swiping them erratically at Roxas.]

[It's very rhythmic, each swing and step almost like a dance Roxas knows well. But his attack comes to a halt when suddenly the Disciple grabs at his swords, causing him to nearly stumble.]

Wh--?!

[He doesn't have time to respond fully before the swords snap in the other man's grip. Now it's all he can do to back-step, trying to dodge those swipes with the broken tips of his swords. He manages to block a few swipes, but Disciple does land a few lucky nicks and cuts on his cheeks and arms.]

[chippedsoul]

[There was a mad look in his eyes when he manages to get a few cuts, falling into fits of laughter. The excitement reaches a point that he abandons his makeshift daggers and rushes in with his bare hands instead. He does an uppercat swipe with his claws, intending to try and knock Roxas off his balance.]

[twilightskey]

[Roxas isn't easily intimidated, but that mad look and manic laughter chills him to his core. It makes him unable to anticipate the rushed swipe, and the Disciple gets a hit on him.]

!!

[He pulls his arms up, but with the shorter, broken blades, he's not able to intercept. The claws draw blood on his arm and he stumbles, falling backwards.]

[He puts on a toothy grin as sees the blood on his hands, licking some of it off.]

Aw, I guess this is the extent of your abilities. [He walks over, grabbing Roxas by the ankle and starts dragging him towards the barrier.] But you did managed to get a hit in, that's still something, I suppose.

[twilightskey]

[Roxas is still trying to re-orient himself by the time Disciple grabs his ankle. Panic sets in as he realizes he's being dragged, and he begins to thrash, kicking at the Disciple with his free leg. He tries to keep himself grounded by stabbing one of the blunt blades into the ground, while the other he keeps swiping at the Disciple's hands.]

Let me go!

[chippedsoul]

[He clicks his tongue, pulling even harder when he's met with some resistance. His blunt sword managed to get a few cuts into his arm, but the grip on his leg remains firm.]

Let you go? Well....all right. [He lifts him by the leg, which probably bends it in an unpleasant way, having to pull the weight of his body along with. He then proceeds to toss Roxas right into the barrier.]

[Roxas lets out a small cry as he's lifted up, his leg bending in a very painful way as he's dangled off the ground. He tries to struggle, but suddenly he's flying through the air as he's hurled at the barrier.]

[He tries to regain his sense of perspective, but once he strikes the barrier he's hurled back, at a faster rate than what the Disciple originally tossed him at. He barely has enough time to cry out before he realizes the ground is coming up fast.]

[He throws his hands in front of him, and hits the ground hard, bouncing on impact. There's a sickening crack and a pop, and his right arm erupts into fiery agony.]

Aaagh!!

[chippedsoul]

Hahaha! Weren't you just bragging how you've fought bigger threats?! [Ah, such beautiful screams from this child. He scurries over to him, dropping on all fours on top of him, a clawed hand grabbing for the arm that hasn't broken yet.]

I guess it was all just talk. [He licked his lips, sharp teeth visibly seen as he smiles devilishly down at him. His hand slowly squishes his uninjured arm. His prey has been brought down, now it's time to play with his food.]

[Roxas would retort back, but the pain he’s feeling makes it impossible to form a comeback. He has fought bigger threats, Heartless and Nobodies of incredible strength. But all those times, he had his Keyblade with him; now, he’s empty-handed and feeling very, very worried.]

[He flinches as the Disciple looms over him, and winces in pain, both due to his injured arm and the grip squishing his good arm. For a brief moment, the only noise he makes is his laboured breathing, the corners of his eyes prickling with tears of pain.]

[Then, moving half on instinct and half on desperation, he takes a deep breath and yells.]

[Only, it’s not just a yell. It’s a yell fuelled by his magic, brimming with power borne by a need to survive. It’s a loud, stunning shout, and it’s directed right in the Disciple’s face.]

[chippedsoul]

Grrk! [What the hell is this scream? It's doing more than just an attempt to startle him. He drops down besides Roxas, unable to move or cover his ears. What the hell?! If he could move a muscle, he would look so pissed off at Roxas right now. Despite this, he's still holding onto Roxas' arm, but the grip had loosen.]

[twilightskey]

[Being his first time using such an ability, even Roxas was momentarily surprised by the effect of his shout. But he's quick to recover, tugging his good arm out of Disciple's hand as he scrambles back and up to his feet.]

[Cradling his injured arm to his chest (and god, does it hurt so badly), he wastes no time turning and fleeing into the forest.]

[Roxas gets a bit of a head start, with Hyde still stunned by the scream he heard. It was a gradual process before his senses finally returned, ears still ringing.]

Damn it. You're going to pay for that. [Roxas better keep running, Hyde is going to catch up to him eventually. He could probably hear the trees being knocked over somewhere behind him, getting louder and closer.]

[Roxas runs as fast as he can, breath coming in heavy pants as he flees. He has to get to the river. If he can get to the river, he could swim downstream, as far away as possible. The idea of going back to his house crosses his mind, but the aching in his arm makes him reconsider. He needs someone to help him out, maybe a healing potion or some sort of magic spell. If only he could cast Curaga...]

[The crashing of trees makes him jump, and he wills himself to run faster. He can't flash-step like he'd like to, but he puts everything into keeping as much distance between him and the Disciple. Just until he gets to the river...]

[The crashing of trees continued until all of the sudden, it stopped. Roxas may get the feeling that he's being watched though, the hunter waiting for the opportune moment to pounce on his prey.

If Roxas dawdles too long, a claw may suddenly swipe at him from the trees along his path.]

[twilightskey]

[The crashing coming to a stop does draw his attention, but it puts him more on edge than anything. He's not sure if he lost the Disciple or not, but he keeps pushing himself to get to the river. He'll be okay so long as he reaches it...]

[Relief floods him once he spies the river up ahead, and he actually grins, letting out a breath of relief... until that claw suddenly swipes at him. He ducks, and nearly stumbles, and feels the blood on his arm as the claws rake his skin, but he keeps running.]

[chippedsoul]

[His laughter echoes in the darkness.] You can't run forever...I can see you~!

[And suddenly from above, Hyde comes falling, intending to land on top of him.]

[The fall from above almost gets him caught, but fear and adrenaline make him move, just enough to avoid getting landed on. But now he's close enough to the river that he can focus on getting away.]

[He leaps into the river, making a big splash when he does. His arm jolts, and he grits his teeth from the pain, but he forces himself to ignore it until the transformation happens. It's a good thing the magic allows his clothes to vanish with the transformation, since now he doesn't have to worry about his tail getting caught.]

[Once his tail is fully transformed, he'll dart as fast as he can down the river, trying to get away from the Disciple.]

[chippedsoul]

[Oh he thinks he'll get away by river?

...

Wait. What is happening?] You... [He doesn't have time to process what just happened. If he wants a chance to catch his prey, he needed to work fast. It helps when he's pissed off with these little tricks from Roxas. Roxas better be careful of falling debris, cause Hyde is throwing boulders and trees into the river to stop him.]

[When he’s in the water, Roxas thinks he can relax. But then the first boulder is hurled into the river, and he knows the hunt isn’t over yet. He darts forward, doing his best to avoid the falling debris as he swims down the river. How far does he have to go to outpace the Disciple? All the way to the sea??]
