» A: SIDE STORY - III-A. CLIMBING THE TOWER «
[At the bottom of the tower of ever changing and shifting beds, Rokurou has the driest look imaginable. Who can blame him when he was cast as the princess and forced to wear a bulky dress. At least he was spared and was wearing his boots and pants underneath BUT THIS IS NOT HOW THE HUNTSMAN WANTS TO PLAY IN THIS.]

Would it ruin the story if I just ripped this skirt off? There's no way I'll be able to climb with all this.

[How do girls who are capable of fighting in dresses and skirts able to do this... Newfound respect, man.

ANYWAY.

Just going to. Sigh as he stares up, the set of beds closest to him and whoever who happens to be with him already moving around.]

But guess should get started while we can. This is going to take a while...

» B: SIDE STORY - I-C3. FIGHT THE WITCH «

[Although he's been here before, on answering a return call Rokurou now finds himself as Gretel, and after dealing with being a Princess in the other story? His immediate reaction was, "Oh, come on!" This seemed to be his fate right now, apparently.

But he just deals with it, especially when he apparently gets set to do one of the more interesting scenes of this story. He may not have his swords due to the casting, but this is a kitchen. And there are knives. And he already has his hands on one and is just. Idly twirling it around.]

So I know the story is about the witch getting tossed into the oven, but how about we make it more interesting?

[Whoever is playing the witch, please say now. Granted he's only half-serious about this to begin with. Half. Less serious if he doesn't know the person who is playing the witch, more serious if he does and knows they can fight.]

» C: SIDE STORY - II-5. FISHING FOR THE GREAT BLACK ERASER «

[He'll help out with some other parts of the story (chasing whoever is playing the Gingerbread Man does sound pretty fun), but he's way more interesting in taking out any of the Erasers lurking in the lake. So whoever is with him, he grins as he starts to get the boat ready.]

It's too bad we can't keep it as a trophy after we kill it. Would make for a pretty good story later.

[Just wait until the story about the white whale, man.]

» D: OUT HUNTING + WILDCARD «
[Mostly a wildcard. Given the season and lack of anything else to do aside from helping with the stories, Rokurou will be out in the woods working on his hunting skills, both the practical and anything that might be evolved to something more powerful later. Shooting practice is also a thing, so anyone going through and happen to be near his place may hear a ring of gunshots as he works on his targets. There will also be a number of traps set out in various places—mostly for small game like pits, boxes, and nets, so nothing too dangerous. Bear traps will come later. Some are easy to spot, but others are a lot trickier, especially with all the snow. But if someone gets caught—well give a holler and Rokurou will come and set them free.

But if you have any other ideas or want to plot, just hit me up on Discord or laenavesse.]

Yeah, but I don't know if these bullets would really do that much damage. [Seems kind of. Small against a giant shark like that.] Although I can sometimes shoot fire bullets... Wonder if there's something else I could do.

I never really tried at all.

There wasn't really much except for general huntsman things! I even read other books with similar characters and they said nothing about magic bullets!

So you shot one magic bullet, shrugged, and didn't think to try anything else?!

I'm a swordsman, Eizen, you should be glad I've managed to learn not to accidentally shoot anyone. Most I use the gun part for is to shoot things from far away to give me a slight advantage.

[And Eizen just. Gestures between them and where the Eraser swam off to.]

You mean like that thing was?

Except it's in the water. I can't exactly follow it up if it dives underwater or go after it with my swords, and I highly doubt I can kill it in just a few shots.

It'll still bleed and get weaker so we can chase it down.

[Sighs as he pulls out his gunblades.]

All right, okay, I'll try shooting it. Just lure it out and I should be able to get a few shots in.

[And then he takes a moment and reconsiders his choice of weapons. Sheathing the smaller blades, he reaches back and pulls out one of his greatswords, which reveals itself to also be part gunblade. If he's going to do this, might as well go for harder hitting bullets.]

I don't know, you're the pirate with all the ideas.

All right fine. I have an idea.

He is definitely spluttering and glaring when he surfaces, though.]

[Just smirking as he leans over the railing to look down at him.]

We need some big bait, and you're the biggest thing we have. So just flounder around and try not to turn into your weird thing!

[NOT SO GREAT AT BEING SO TALL NOW IS IT—]

I'm going to kill you when I get out of the water. Use meat or something next time, not me!

I would, but we don't have any on hand.

[And now he's looking towards the open waters for any signs of a notable fin or dark shadow to alert them of their fishy friend.]

Now just pretend to be a dying animal or something. I hear splashing attracts their attention.

I should knock the boat over and bring you into the water with me, asshole. You're lucky I need you to shoot.

Yeah, yeah, but heads up, I think we got something!

[The water is definitely rippling not too far from them. Seems like the shark is just attracted to their bickering.]

[Eizen looks around and starts trying to swim around the boat to lure the thing closer.]

Just so you know, I can't swim very well even if I don't sink!

Then think of this as practice. I can throw you a line if you need it, though.
