Another party in the Beasts' castle

Summary: There's a party at the Beasts' castle!

A message (written by a furniture) is sent out through the devices. The strike outs are Jean trying to censor things but they can be seen if you squint.

Welcome to the party on April 10th!
The place is indicated on the attached map.
It is also our Masters' birthday this week (7th)

The places in the castle

The castle & the surrounding rose garden: there are also some wolves wandering in the nearby woods but they do not attack.

Dining room: where the main event, dinner is held. It will take some time for the food to be served since they do a dance.

Library: Not as impressive as the Index main library and most of the books are empty.

Fireplace / Living Room: A cute leg rest that acts like a dog will help you relax by standing under your feet.

Study & the Magic mirror: The magic mirror shows who you're thinking about - if they're in Index, that is.

Dance hall & the attached balcony: The furniture will try to help anyone they think are couple material or seem like need help with making A Move. They may get it wrong sometimes.

West wing & the Enchanted Rose: the restricted area. All the furniture will warn you not to go there and while Jean won't be as aggressive about intruders than before he will still be cautious and snippy.


You can imagine any furniture to be alive, except any bathroom furniture for the sake of my sanity. The main butler is a candelabra, much like the disney versions but even more obnoxious and Lumiére. All the furniture have a French accent except for the leg rest since it barks like a doggo.

Jean's wolf cubs, Connie and Sasha, are around in the library or following Jean. There is also a third one, Frost following Weiss.

"Be careful what you wish for," Makoto murmured, letting go of Ren's shirt now that he was backing away. He took Ren's hand to continue leading him out. They could get any essence in earth's folktales and there were plenty that were unpleasant.

"True, it could a lot worse for me." He relaxes at feeling his hand held as they left the West Wing.

Once they were out, a couple of the furniture thank Makoto for getting Ren out before he could take the rose and glare at Ren.

Well either way, at least it got nipped in the bud before Ren could get himself into trouble.

Makoto couldn't help but chuckle a little at the chastisement Ren was receiving from the furniture. But they had been the ones to alert him, so he merely nodded to their thanks. "Trying to steal enchanted roses aside, have any other plans for the evening?"

Ren just shrugs. He's used to getting glares and cold stares, on top of the dumb rumors that would spread about him.

"Aside from trying to behave myself? Not really. I thought that book would help me control myself better, but it didn't work."

He honestly doesn't wanna steal but his quirk is difficult to get passed.

"What book?"

Makoto wasn't exactly able to empathize with falling prey to his quirk. It was mild compared to others and it only really acted up when he saw the devastation in Londeva. It was the place he killed Ken in and that was going to forever haunt him.

"It was just book to try to teach ways to better self control. Castles makes my essence act up and I'm trying to be good." For a change, but he doesn't say that part.

At least Makoto hasn't learned that Shadow Ren got himself killed by Hyde. He's been lucky there was no witnesses.

"Mm... I don't know if self-help books are really all that helpful," Makoto replied with a small shrug. Not that he couldn't give props to Ren for trying. "Maybe try to control just which castles you wanna raid. Robin Hood stole from the rich, but mostly the ones that were greedy and stuff. I feel like if there were nobles who were actually nice and tried to be helpful, he wouldn't steal from them."

Makoto led them through the halls and back toward the party, beelining for the food.

"Besides, this is the Beast's castle. I doubt he really has anything all that valuable anymore, the enchanted rose aside."

"I kind of have with Adachi." Makoto might know since Ren did try to rob Adachi as Joker when they temporarily got their powers back and he ended up fighting Adachi with their personas, and may or may not have had to interfere before any deaths could happen.

"Maybe I should try to rob him again." Ren you need to stop obsessing over Adachi already.

Ren makes a sheepish laugh. "Fair point. I doubt any of the furniture would want to be kidnapped."

"We most certainly do not!" Yeah it figures one of them would pipe up.
