Summary: There's a party at the Beasts' castle!

A message (written by a furniture) is sent out through the devices. The strike outs are Jean trying to censor things but they can be seen if you squint.

Welcome to the party on April 10th!
The place is indicated on the attached map.
It is also our Masters' birthday this week (7th)

The places in the castle

The castle & the surrounding rose garden: there are also some wolves wandering in the nearby woods but they do not attack.

Dining room: where the main event, dinner is held. It will take some time for the food to be served since they do a dance.

Library: Not as impressive as the Index main library and most of the books are empty.

Fireplace / Living Room: A cute leg rest that acts like a dog will help you relax by standing under your feet.

Study & the Magic mirror: The magic mirror shows who you're thinking about - if they're in Index, that is.

Dance hall & the attached balcony: The furniture will try to help anyone they think are couple material or seem like need help with making A Move. They may get it wrong sometimes.

West wing & the Enchanted Rose: the restricted area. All the furniture will warn you not to go there and while Jean won't be as aggressive about intruders than before he will still be cautious and snippy.

You can imagine any furniture to be alive, except any bathroom furniture for the sake of my sanity. The main butler is a candelabra, much like the disney versions but even more obnoxious and Lumiére. All the furniture have a French accent except for the leg rest since it barks like a doggo.

Jean's wolf cubs, Connie and Sasha, are around in the library or following Jean. There is also a third one, Frost following Weiss.

It was getting very crowded at the dance hall at the moment, so Anya decides to take a breather and head for the living room to rest her legs from all the dancing. As she opens the door to the living room, the sound definitely alerts the leg rest dog and he starts to find who's making the noise.

Eventually, Anya gets inside when the leg rest dog decides to greet her and barks happily instead of getting mad with her. The energy he emanates reminds her a lot of Pooka (who is left behind at her cottage for the night) and she happily picks up him to see him better and give him a playful petting session. The encounter soon has her hearing that there is also someone else in the room and she turned her attention to the sleepy blue haired boy, leaving her speechless to how to reply back.

"Well, um, I honestly don't know what the exactly time is right now since I just came in from the dance hall, but it is still night time as far as I can remember," she bumbles a bit in her words while she is still petting the leg rest dog.

That was largely why Makoto was cuddling the leg rest in front of the fire. Koromaru was at home as well for the evening. But seeing the lady play with it was pretty endearing and likely how he looked before he fell asleep. He gave one last yawn and looked out the window. Well, she was right that it was still evening.

"I guess it is," He murmured, before sitting up straighter and stretching. "Tired from dancing?"

He hadn't met too many people in here, but he assumed some came in here for a break before heading out again.

"Yep, pretty tired from dancing for the most part," she replies back while the leg rest dog happily barks in joy, "I think that I must have danced for a few hours before coming over here."

Anya hasn't planned on going back to the dance hall right now, but taking a break is never a bad idea after all. Her legs are already aching so she decides to sit down on the floor and the leg rest dog hops back onto the floor, happily panting and chasing his 'tail', which gives her a good chuckle in return.

Makoto nodded, a small smile of his own on his face as he watched the leg rest play around them both. He wished he brought Koromaru, they probably could have been playmates. "The food was good. I was too full to dance and I kind of lost track of my boyfriend."

So, map time it was! Not that it was unusual for Ren to end up finding Makoto napping somewhere. He figured that would be the case eventually. Assuming Ren didn't try to steal the rose again.

"I'm Makoto, by the way. Makoto Yuki," He held out his hand.

"I'm Anya, nice to meet you, Makoto," she greets back as she reciprocates the hand offer in a handshake that's thankfully not as hard as the one she gave to Dmitri back in the dusty Catherine Palace.

"Yes, I agree that the food was great, though I think I must have spent more time getting carried away by the furniture's performance than eating my food," she explains before hearing about him losing track of his boyfriend, "Oh, you lost track of him? I thought that this castle must be very large that it gets really easy to get lost."

Makoto smiled lightly at her words. "The furniture seem to enjoy throwing parties, don't they?"

He nodded with a slight shrug. "It's alright. I'm sure we'll find each other again eventually."

He also had several ways to track someone, usually with his shadows or butterflies. So, he wasn't too worried. Sometimes, staying in one spot was also beneficial.

“They sure do, they must be a really great group to be with,” Anya replies in return, “I have been to a similar event back in my world during a trip to Paris. The performance they had earlier reminds me of that event at home.”

The leg rest dog happily rolls around the rug and barks in joy, his tassel tail wagging about. He couldn’t help it, he’s just enjoying some company tonight.

He reached out to rub the dog's belly. It was weird consider it was a foot rest but he did it all the same. The dog was excited, at least.

"I've never been to Paris," He said mildly. "I never left Japan, to be honest. And we certainly don't have balls to attend."

“Okay, that is understandable, not everyone can have the same experiences across various worlds, I suppose: perhaps balls must be a little old-fashioned in your world,” she quickly takes notes of it, “I’m going to be honest, I never left my original country for so long until I had the opportunity to go abroad and find my grandmama in Paris.”

"Just a little," Makoto chuckled lightly, barely there. "It's not that parties don't happen, it's just... a little different, I guess. Especially if you're from a time different than mine."

Still though... his petting slowed down as he looked down.

"Paris would have been cool to see," He said softly. "There was a foreign exchange student at my school, he was from France actually. I don't remember if he was from Paris... but I know he loved his home just as much as he loved Japan. I think it would have been nice to visit him there, he was due back at the end of the school year."

“That must be really wonderful to hear,” she admits, “Meeting people from various parts of the world while they study in the same school as you. You definitely need to see how much the Eiffel Tower looks at night with the lights on, it is a beautiful sight to behold.”

The leg rest dog still has a lot of energy in him that he is bouncing up and down that it gives Anya quite the chuckle that she couldn’t hide, the affection the leg rest dog gives out is too much not to ignore.
