001 // There's a storyline here somewhere [Open]
Characters: Roxas/The Little Mermaid and YOU
Campaign: Hollow Christmas Carol, Act 1
Format: I will match
Open
Summary: Exploring the Draft and Sub Quest things!
A: Tombstone Hunting
[Roxas knew that this was what he had agreed to do when he came here, and wasn't one who simply shied away from a difficult task. But as he hunted around the fog-filled forest, he couldn't help but want to be done with this place.]
Hey, did you find any new pieces yet?
[He's been doing his best to put up a tough front, but the way he kept warily looking around and gripped at his arms from time to time betrayed how nervous the creepy forest made him feel.]
B: Collecting Wooden Planks
[This seemed like a task that Roxas was more than capable of helping out with. Though the current was fast, a few pumps of his tail enabled him to fight against it and help whoever he was working with to fish out the necessary planks of wood that they needed. But while his idea to get into the river seemed smart at first, he was quickly seeing the problem with it.]
Ow!
[That last bite almost made him lose the piece he was holding onto, though he had to flick his tail to bat the skeletal fish that had bit him away.]
These things are a nuisance..!
C:
[The group may not have been in the Draft for terribly long, but after a few days of searching for pieces of the set they need, Roxas was quite painfully reminded of a particular "quality" of his essence. Late one afternoon, he will be forced to write a shaky scrawl of a message to anyone who might have their journals on them.]
Could someone come help me? I can't walk
Wildcard
[[OoC: If you have any other ideas or suggestions, hit me up and we can work something out!]]

[Roxas decided to let her hold the stone, politely holding up a hand to deny her offer of the glowing fragment. He instead went over to the stone piece in question, picking it up.]
Here, does this one--!
[Unfortunately, he didn't get a chance to finish his sentence as, once the fragment was in his hand, a blotchy, inky wraith bubbled up from the fog, hissing at them.]
Woah!!

[ Stumbling back a couple of steps, Aya is caught off-guard by the sudden appearance. This is one time she wishes she had a knife with her but it doesn't really look like that'll help - instead she focuses on Sora, reaching out to him. ]
Get away from it, we can't let it get any of these pieces!

Quick! Let's find the next piece!

You're okay?
[ Because even if they have a job to do, anyone getting hurt in the process is unacceptable. ]
no subject
Yeah, I'm fine. Let's just try and get away from that thing; I can't really fight it...
[Which was still annoying. But the wraith looked like it was a slow-mover, so they could probably out-maneuver it, at least.]

[ not that the surroundings lent themselves to any easy shots. She focuses on moving away from the thing, her eyes on the ground trying to see if there are any obvious pieces - and to make sure she doesn't trip. ]

[His fear abandoned, he redoubled his efforts into the search as well, and if he noticed any glowing pieces he was quick to point them out.]

[ She says it with a smile. All the same, she doesn't feel like they should get too separated. She wouldn't be able to forgive herself if anything happened to either of them.
She also focuses on the stones, her one precious piece of tombstone clutched tightly in her hand. Aya follows Roxas' lead, and after a few minutes, the monster still hovering slowly in their wake - ]
Hey, is that one--?
[ A couple of feet away, it looks like something has a slight shine... ]
no subject
I think you're right.
[He goes over to it, picking it up once he got near it. It glowed in his hand.]
I think this is one of them!
