Be Our Guest
Characters: Jean Kirstein [Beast (Beauty and the Beast)] & Open
Campaign: Break
Format: [ brackets ]
Open
Summary: Party in Beast's Castle because otherwise the furniture won't stop being pain.
Invitation...
[At the beginning of the week, a message arrives on the journals.]
Sender: Beast | Jean Kirstein
Recipient: Everyone
Because the living furniture in my house won't stop bothering me and putting decorations up when I'm not looking, I guess I have no choice but to invite everyone over for a "housewarming" party. Please, do come over. It'll please them and they'll return to normal. I hope.
Friday, 5 pm.
[Jean is actually pretty good at drawing, so there's a small sketch of the castle he lives in and a map from the center of the town to where he lives in.]
Be careful though. Wolves live around the castle.
Party itself
Outside
[As warned by Jean, there are wolves stalking the castle around. It's still unclear what their objective there is, but they won't attack groups of people. Just if you happen to come around alone they might, unless they're distracted by something.
On the front yard there is a beautiful rose garden filled with red roses as far as eye can see. It's the best kept part of the whole yard.
At the back of the castle there's also a maze made of rose bushes. It's not as well kept and who knows what you find in the maze. Maybe even more living furniture who've gotten lost? Wolves? A mystery.]
Lobby, dining hall, living room & ballroom
[As you walk inside the lobby is huge. Walking coat racks come take any coats and hats guests may have and the candelabras are excitedly trying to get a peek at everyone. There's a huge staircase with three directions: east wing, west wing and the ballroom in the middle.
To the right of the stairs is the door to the dining hall. A beautiful feast has been made by the various kitchen tools. The living trays with wheels come give everyone drinks and appetizers and the chairs move to coax people into sitting down. Even the food is served automatically - all you need to do for them to stop is raise a hand and say "enough". Same with the beverages. But be careful, some of the utensils are ticklish.
Before the feast starts, however, there's a dance sequence performed by the various "members" of the "kitchen staff". No singing, however, as they've not been upgraded to singing or talking yet.
To the left of the stairs is the living room. There are nice sofas to sit down and when you do, a footstool that's as excited as a dog runs to give you a place to rest your legs. The candelabras from earlier light the fireplace for some nice relaxing time.
The middle room of the stairs leads to a very huge ballroom. There the dancing can happen. There is a grand piano and other smaller instruments at the back that begin playing oddly familiarcoughdisneycough tunes. The lights also dim a bit to give a romantic atmosphere.
There's also an open access to the balcony with the view to the rose maze. Maybe you'll see someone or something stuck there...]
East Wing & West Wing
[If curiosity gets you, you are more than welcome to walk to the east wing. There suits of armor line up the hallway, giving a nice medieval vibe to the place. There are a few well-kept bedrooms the guests are allowed to rest in. Of course, the wardrobes eagerly offer anyone pyjamas for use. Watch out for the dust...
There is also a study with a small bookshelf with books in france and on the table there is a hand mirror. If you take it into your hands while thinking about someone, it shows them and what they're doing ... if they're in this world.
To get to the west wing, however, you need to be able to get past furniture keeping watch. It's mostly a small clock that ticks just a bit louder whenever someone approaches and a few brooms that shoo people back. It's not, however, impossible to get past them.
Inside the hallway, broken suits of armor fill up the hallway with torn carpets and paintings giving the place a very haunted feeling. At the very end of the hallway, one bedroom stands. The inside of the room looks even worse than the hallway. Only the bed seems lately slept in and in in somewhat good shape.
By the window there's a table that seems in very good shape with a rose in a glass dome. There's a magical aura about it and there is single petal that has fallen out of it, still fresh and reminding that it's there. The dome is easy to lift, but doing so might not be a good idea as it might just bring around an angry Beast.]

West Wing
Huh. Quite a mess here. [Compared to rest of the castle, the West Wing was poorly lit, and it looked like the wolves have come in and ravaged the area.] Anyone here~? [His claws slides along the already torn wallpaper as he wanders the hallway, toward the single room at the end.]
no subject
He walks out of the room and closes the door behind him, standing in guard.]
You shouldn't be here. Go back to the party.
no subject
I'm already bored with the party. What are you hiding back there~?
no subject
None of your business. If you're bored, leave the whole place.
no subject
You're suppose to entertain your guest when they're bored. So entertain me! [He's not sure what this man can do, so he'll simply swipe at him, just within range to give him a scratch if he doesn't retaliate in some way.]
no subject
Jean dodges the swipe and attempts to throw a punch in retaliation, aimed at his stomach. It's a beastly instinct but also Jean's natural defensive instincts.]
I didn't ask to host a party.
no subject
Good punch. [He grabs a hold of his wrist.] Better than the usual chumps at least. [He proceeds to toss him aside.]
no subject
Jean is even angrier now and he just approaches again and attempts to grab the guy by his shirt. With the beast strength he has he could likely easily lift him up if he managed to hold onto him. Mostly he just wants to stop him and punch him in the face this time.]
no subject
Oh, want some more do you?! [Hyde may go for the face punch first as he throws his fist at him while he's being grabbed.]
no subject
What the heck are you.
[He throws the guy towards the wall, intending to follow and punch him once he hits it.]
no subject
I am what humanity wish they could be! [He digs his claws into the ceiling, bringing part of the ceiling down onto Jean.]
no subject
Usually, one would probably get knocked out over that, but hey, he's The Beast. Perhaps not in the form, but the essence makes him sturdier. Doesn't help with the pain though. The pain sucks and makes it harder for him to focus.]
You're a monster, that's what you are.
[Meanwhile, the previous clock and a few cleaning furniture have gone over to the party-goers to seek help because they're not sure what they could do. Whether anyone follows them or not is a matter entirely different.]
no subject
All you had to do was let me see what's behind the door! Is there something embarrassing in there~?
no subject
It's none of your business.
no subject
He quickly followed the castle staff's lead, finding himself in the West Wing... ]
[ And of course who was causing trouble? Hyde. Again. Dojima had to hold back an exasperated sigh, watching the child with an adult's body attack who he suspected was the owner of the Mansion. ]
[ Well, he couldn't just let Hyde keep getting away with this... even if Hyde had it out for him, this time, he had some tools to help and a better handle of his new skills. ]
[ For a moment, he closed his eyes-- focus.
Call upon those who swore loyalty to you-- ]
[ A blinding light-- an arrow? Shot out and just barely missed Hyde's face, striking the wall next to his head-- if he followed the trajectory, he'd see a red, long hair'd man standing with a...harp? bow? Aiming at him.]
You just can't help yourself, can you, Hyde?
[ That was definitely Dojima's voice, but he wasn't immediately visible... ]
no subject
Still hiding behind your toys, coward?! [He could only see the archer aiming his weapon in his direction. That's new, and annoying. At least he's not messing with the door anymore.]
no subject
[ The Archer pulled back his bow strings-- playing a surprisingly pretty melody-- before waves of energy shot out, towards Hyde--
But in a way that should be easy enough for the man to dodge. This wasn't to hurt Hyde, after all-- ]
[ It was to pull his attention away from the Door, and Jean. ]
But at least there be no Shizuo-san involvement this time.
[ Dojima appeared further down the Hallway, with that other knight-- the one Hyde had brutalized on their first interaction--at his side. ]
no subject
[He crosses the hallway, moving unpredictably to make it difficult for the archer to aim. He plans to tackle him, knock him down and proceed further back after Dojima. The monster was on a mission to kill a man, no matter what stood in his way.]
no subject
The clock also follows him inside now.]
no subject
Well, that's good to know that you're not holding that part against me now.
[ But Dojima and his Knight was pulling back-- ]
[ Towards a large ornate window, glass shattered all over.
The Knight grabbed hold of his King, and with a LEAP-- ]
[ Jumped out the window into the garden below. Was Dojima just trying to make his escape, or did he have something else planned? ]
no subject
[He tosses pillar in their direction while they're still falling.]
no subject
[ That's gonna sting in the morning... ]
[ Gawain however was standing tall, waiting for Hyde whenever he'd follow them down, sword drawn and at the ready. ]
no subject
no subject
[ Gawain would bring his sword to bear, blocking Hyde's clawing attack-- but only just, the strain obvious on the knight's face. Easy enough for Hyde to grip onto the blade--
Dojima meanwhile was only barely keeping his balance after the shockwaves. It was probably those new boots of his--
But, okay, how could he do this? There was a garden wall to the side, with some ornate sculpting... Pity the sculptors, but it could work for this situation.
Dojima made his move, running low to hide behind the wall-- but not quite low or fast enough for Hyde NOT to see him. Hopefully he'd do what Dojima was hoping he would and not... something else immediately dangerous. ]
no subject
There you are! [He lets go, giving Gawain a good kick before turning his attention toward Dojima.]
