• This is all optional, the quests are just extra content for players who are more active during the Break can use to make threads and help build CR if they want.
  
• Anyone can access the quests via journal and accept them.
  
• Any quest can be repeated, but repeated 2-point quests will be rewarded a maximum of 3 times.
  
• Although not explicitly stated, all quests have additional reasonable monetary rewards that will be delivered to the character upon completion.

0501	Cure the Princess: Those trying to cure the cursed swan princess are seeking "magical feathers" from all kinds of sources, with giant birds as a likely candidate. There are no real specifics, just pluck a few feathers from various birds with powerful and/or magical capabilities so they can test to see what's effective. Perhaps avians from the other realm and blessed by the stories could be potent...	1
0502	Santa Dullahan: There is a rogue Dullahan wearing a Santa suit and a pumpkin head terrorizing various neighborhoods all over the Realm. It leaves behind a trail of snow and ice behind it which spreads and freezes everything in its wake. It will even drop off presents which explode into sticky glitter, melted candy corn, or rubber fruitcake. Occasionally toys will come to life to assist in its mischief. Stop it before it hurts someone and disillusions the children of the joy of Christmas!!	1
0503	Bring the Bacon: Wild boar herds have increased in the Index over the season and risk overrunning not only their habitat but invading others. To help preserve the wildlife, go to designated areas of the forests and hunt down at most five adult boars. All parts of the boar will be used and sold in the markets, and hunters can take back a few for their own use. Any orphaned boars found without a herd should be taken to the designated ranch where they will be raised.	1
0504	Cats and their Riddles: A group of strange, boot wearing, purple coated cats (some of it may be dyed) have gone on a theft spree. They steal anything that seems valuable (or smelling of tuna), but they are particularly interested in timepieces, like watches and small clocks. Even if they are caught, they won't readily give up the location of the goods unless their riddle can be solved. (note: players can determine which riddle the cat challenges the characters with, as well is their ability to answer correctly…if they can catch the cat first, that is. Suggested lists: 1; 2)	1
0505	Library Help: Due to some recent damage to our books, the Library needs some extra staff to fill in for one or more of the following roles: General Staff: help gather any discarded books and reshelve them Security: work with some new security to patrol the areas Reproduction: help reproduce damaged texts by use of copy press There are some new library aids who will be monitoring the volunteers. If they get upset or there is danger, they will summon help	1
0506	Item Retrieval: A series of listings for some item collection and basic jobs to help make improvements within the Index, all by one Sir Nom Took: Chopped wood Ores Fish and Insects Fruits (Watch out for wasps) There's a chance the tools Sir Coon provides for these tasks might break from usage, but thankfully Nom Took will get you a replacement, for a small fee. (note: although not specifically stated, the amount for each item is a ridiculous large amount)	1
0507	Tea Delivery: With the tea leaves gathered from the dragons, they must now be delivered around the Index! One particular client had a rather large order and a request to guard the goods while in transport. There's an unknown group who is rather interested in taking these tea leaves and have sent an army of playing cards to retrieve them. The cards don't play games and will do everything to hold 'em up and rob the deliverer of the goods. For those not interested in delivering, help flush out these wildcards!	2
0508	Repairing the Index: Someone has been causing a bit of mayhem around the Index. There are buildings with holes where someone had smashed through them, other buildings completely demolished. Many locals have been caught in the destruction and suffering from various injuries. A few others report being attacked by a wild possessed man. Shockingly, no one has been killed by their assault, only injuries that vary from minor to serious, some physical or mental. The injured need assistance and these buildings don’t repair themselves. Any information about the so-called demon would also be appreciated. (note: People are free to try and take down Hyde themselves. Whether he’s caught or escapes is to be decided. (No more than three people can sign up to do this part. For mun's sanity lol))	2
0509	Collecting the Pieces: The Storyteller has selected the next story, but requires a few key pieces that are scattered throughout the Index to create a stable Draft for the Aspects to travel to. These pieces can only be collected by those who are capable of transforming into different beasts as those particular skills are required to get through certain obstacles to reach them. Teamwork is also highly encouraged to get through these. Those who can transform will have a natural advantage, but transformation potions will also be available for anyone to use during this quest only. (note: attempts to keep or use the potions outside of the quest will result in the user turning into a stink bug for an hour) Click to see list. Down the rabbit hole. Out deep in the southern woods are numerous holes and burrows. Hidden somewhere within the underground tunnels are small white rabbits. They will refuse to come out and thus you must take on the form of a creature that can enter or dig through the tunnels to find them. They are very skittish and fast, so be gentle when approaching them. Mirror shards. Deep within a crystal cavern located in the northern mountains several mirror shards lay scattered. It may be difficult to find them as they will blend in with the crystals. Sharp crystals cover the cavern floor, so only those capable of flight can traverse through the cavern and retrieve the shar. Although the caverns are spacious and ledges for perch, there are small sections that require careful flying. Dodo birds. On a remote island out in some choppy waters of the ocean is a group of dodo birds. After making it to the island, you must capture either a blue feathered adult dodo or a red speckled dodo egg. No other bird or egg will work. The dodos will immediately transform into a hideous creature if it spots any creature that is not a bird. Thus in order to get close to the nests and the birds, you must transform into any bird form and be friendly towards it. (note: those who are already birds do not have to transform, but they need to behave more like normal birds or the dodos may grow suspicious and attack.) To capture the animals and items requests, all quest takers will be given a special bookmark. When the bookmark touches the target, it will "collect" it within itself. No harm will come to any living creatures. (note: point rewards are for the quest as a whole, not for each part. Doing a different section will be considered as if repeating the quest.)	2
0510	Monster Bounties: These creatures have become a menace to the local populace and need to be taken care of! Click to see list. Giant Boar: Huge boars almost the size of a small cottage has been spotted near the mountains in the Index. Normally it keeps to itself but it's been attacking the ranches, devastating property and even killing livestock! Take it down by any means necessary! Bewitching Sirens: A group of man-eating sirens has invaded both The Book of Mermaid and the ocean in the Index. These sirens are targeting sailors, wrecking ships and trying to drag them under. Even the mermaids are attacked and are having trouble fending them off. Either lure them out of the water or use the provided potion to turn into a mercreature to deal with them. (note: potion only works while on the quest; any attempt to keep or use it outside of the quest will result in the character turning into a plankton.) Ghastly Youkai: Various youkai are attacking the locals in the Book of Kaguya, targeting bamboo farmers and anyone who wanders through the forest. Some are your typical monsters, but others are undead and will require more holy powers to defeat them. (note: point rewards are for the quest as a whole, not for each part. Doing a different section will be considered as if repeating the quest.)	2

Kazuma Asougi | Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde

With another story restored, a new round of abilities become available for the Aspects to play with. Some prove to be more beneficial than others, depending on who you speak to. In Kazuma's case, Hyde having further influence does not help him. The effects were almost immediate when they returned to the Index and Hyde has had full reigns to do anything he wants.

[It won't take long for the reports of some mad man was wandering around town and destroying property. The merchant and artisan districts were hit particularly hard, with reports of items going missing or stolen with all the destruction. If someone wasn't compliant with his demands there goes their shop. Watch for flying debris and people.]

[0510 - Giant Boar]
[He won't stop there, his rampage expands to outside the town, to the forest and farmland areas. Of course he'll run into some opposition in the form of a giant boar.] Mmm, you'll make a fine meal once I've gutted you to pieces.

[This boar proves it ain't no pushover though, and their fighting only further causes damages to the ranches and farmlands surrounding the area. By the sound of Hyde's laughter though, he's have a fun time and could care less.]

What a pain in the ass, we just get through with all that and somebody's already screwing stuff up.

[She's just started looking around and she's already pissed off. Investigation isn't her strong suit, Eustace can attest to that, but she figured with the level of trouble this guy's causing, there's not a need for getting evidence or looking for clues. Nope, just find the guy and beat some sense into him. And she can definitely do that.]

All right though, guy sounds like he just has to make a scene, so he shouldn't be too hard to find, right?

[She'll just try and psych herself up before heading off in the direction the troublemaker was last seen heading in. Hopefully he doesn't have too much of a lead on her.]

[At least his trail of destruction isn't hard to miss and makes him easy to track. It seem like no merchant shop were spared from Hyde's attack. All their fronts have been broken into and many had been left injured from the assault, merchants and customers alike. Some were willing to tell Modred where the culprit had gone, others shrank back with fear when they saw another Aspect.

We don't want anymore trouble from your kind! Along with other not so nice sentiments.

She'll eventually catch up to him raiding through another shop, and casually tossing out the shop owners into the streets like it was no big deal. He was wearing a travel cloak, his back to the street as he was tossing whatever into a large bag he was carrying with him.]

[That's great. Really. Not only is this asshole causing trouble, but he's giving the rest of them a bad name! That's completely unacceptable and she definitely has to do something about it! So she's in a worse mood when she finds him....]

...looting? Seriously?

[She'll just stare for a moment, her mood worsening because man, this guy's trying to get on her nerves just by existing.]

Hey! Knock that crap off right now!

[She really doubts he's going to listen, but hey, she gave it a shot before just trying to kick his ass. Mordred figures that's coming up next though.]

Hm? [Who's squeaking at him? Oh. Well she manage to get one look from him, but then he continues on his looting spree with a smirk on his face.]

Move along, princess. You're a bit too late to the party.

Princess?!

[That touched a nerve. If she'd had her old abilities, she would've tried leveling the damn place to take him out for that, so it's probably a good thing that she doesn't.]

That's Sir Mordred to you, asshole! And your freakin' party's over!

[So she can't use her old stuff, but she can use her essence abilities, as a length of chain appears in her hand, making an eerie sound while it rattles around. Probably not actually that intimidating, but she's not planning to use it to scare the guy.]

I was already planning on putting a stop to this crap, but now I'm gonna make you pay for it!

[With that, she'll swing the chain at him, can't loot with a messed up hand, that's the logic here. Though really her focus is more on making sure he gets his ass handed to him for that princess crack than anything else now.]

[ Well, there's no mistaking who this probably is, unless it's a new Aspect. But again, Hyde is only destroying property, not hurting civilians... ]

[ Maybe he needs to try a different tract with this. He was more confident in his fighting abilities, and he can deduce that Excalibur will be effective if it comes to that, but... ]

[ Perhaps treating Hyde like a tantruming child will be more effective than a merciless killer. So before going out, Dojima stopped by a pub he favoured to grab one of their more... meaty, messy sandwiches, before making his way to the artisan district on foot. ]

[ ...Though not before sending Shizuo a heads up to come looking for him if Dojima didn't write him back in about an hour. He wasn't entirely stupid. ]

[ Now it was just a matter of following that trail of destruction... ]

[Or follow the sounds of screaming civilians. The signs of destruction seems more recent down near the clothing and textile shops in the merchant districts.]

Why don't you go and wait outside? I'll only be here for...awhile, keke. [The next moment, there was the sound of a window breaking and the owner of the shop screaming as they're tossed out onto the streets. Inside, Hyde was stripping and tearing through the clothes. A few he tries on himself, even some he knew he was too big to fit in.]

[ Of course, Dojima was quick to check on the shop keeper-- make sure they're not hurt, and send them on, assuring them something will be done to... deal with Hyde. As well as compensate them for the financial loss. ]

[ Though, honestly, will Kazuma be able to afford all these repairs...? That'll be something to discuss later. ]

[ Entering the shop, Dojima just, watches Hyde for a moment, frowning deeply... and, steeling himself, calls out. ]

Hyde-san. Can we talk?

[Oh, there goes a fine suit, ripped at the seams as Hyde stops what he's doing at the sound of that man's voice.]

You... [As he turns to Dojima, it's clear by the murderous glare in his eyes, he hasn't forgotten their last encounter all those months ago.] Bold of you to show yourself in front of me. [He tosses aside the torn suit, approaching the old detective. He now had to look down at him at his new height.] Or maybe reckless. Trying to play hero again? [He grins, cracking his knuckles. He mentioned something about talking? Maybe? He wasn't listening.]

Bold, reckless, stupid-- all the same thing, really.

[ Great, seems like Hyde was the one that got the upgrades after the campaign instead of Kazuma. He definitely wasn't that tall before... ]

[ Still, Dojima didn't flinch as the Hyde approached him, cracking his knuckles away. ]

More like detective. I'm better suited for that.

[ Reaching into his pack, Dojima pulled out the wrapped up sandwich. Still fresh, and it smelled really good... and held it out to Hyde. ]

... I'd like to talk, this time.

[0503: Bring the Bacon – for Minako]

[On paper the task sounds pretty easy. Hunt down five boars, drop off any piglets at the ranch. Definitely not a tough challenge, and Mordred's pretty sure she can knock this one out easily enough on her own. Though since she's not the only one working the task, she's not too sure about her partner on this one...]

Hey, have you done anything like this before?

[Because she really has no idea what other people around here do or did for a living before showing up here. So she may as well try asking about it. Besides Minako seemed nice enough when they spoke through the journals so Mordred has no reason to try and not be nice in return.]

Well, not hunting boars specifically, but I'm pretty good in a fight!

[She'd wrapped the blade on her peacock green spear for the trip here. Now the fabric is coming off, metal glinting in the sun, a feather charm just below it bouncing cheerfully as she twists the weapon in large arcs between her hands.

It's been a few months since she last held Vel Vel Muruga in her hands...but it's comfortable and familiar. She's more than happy to go back to this while she practices the other abilities her Essence has given her.

As long as her hair cooperates with her (braided tight and covering the whole expanse of her back and butt, heavy but manageable), she knows she's got this.]

I'm used to working on a team, too, as the leader. But you can take point if you want to.

[While she's talking, Mordred'll take the sword she just got out of her bag. It doesn't look like it would fit in there, but the bag's part of her essence, so it works. She's pretty glad to actually have a weapon she likes back, so she'll turn Clarent from side to side, giving it a look over. It might not shoot beams anymore, but that's fine. It didn't do that when she was alive (unless Nasu and co. decide it does later), so she can deal with it.]

All right, I'll hold you to that.

[She's still not really sure what to expect, because what she considers and what others consider might not line up exactly, but she at least thinks it means she can take care of herself. With that spear, she better be able to, anyways.]

I can take point. I never was in charge of hunting parties or anything, but I know how it's done.

[Presumably if she went off on her own, she was technically on point, but that's not really a hunting party, now is it?]

Sure thing! Oh-- wait, just one sec.

[She pulls a pair of scissors out of her satchel and takes it to the stubby bottom of her thick braid. Minako still hasn't found anything that makes cutting her hair faster, but scissors seem to work better than hacking at it with a knife. With a few snips, a sizable pile of hair has grown at her feet, and by the time she finishes, it's sparking on its own, erupting into peach-pink flame.]

Inari isn't a bloodhound, but maybe he can help us hunt.

[she says as a burgundy fox twirls into existence, the peach-pink fire flowing from its limbs and ears.]

Okay, now we can go! [She hefts her spear up into the air, Inari yipping as well.] Let's get some boars!

[Yeah, they probably should get going, but...]

Whoa, you can do stuff like that? That's pretty cool!

[She's impressed, okay? She's never really seen anything like that for the most part. Like she's seen animal familiars before, but nothing that cool. Also maybe a little jealous since she can't create things like that with her powers.]

Inari, huh? Yeah,he looks like he can hold his own.

[It's not like she knows for sure, but she can't imagine a fire fox not being able to.]

Yeah! He's got some of my magic in him.

[She puffs out her chest a little bit, like a proud mom. Inari ignores them for the most part, hopping into the grass and pacing this way and that before pausing in front of one of the pathways, giving Minako a pointed look.

She grins sheepishly and grips her spear. Even though she never enjoyed fighting, and isn't sure hunting is the same thing anyway, she can't deny that she's looking forward to the rush of battle. It'd be a nice outlet for her energy, and help her feel useful right now.]

Guess he's putting us on the right track. C'mon Mordred, let's go get some boars.

[0505 - General Staff]
[ Don't mind him, he's generally here to reshelve books. This should be a fairly easy task, but ah... Having poor memory in such a large place leads to getting lost fairly easily.

Which is why he's walking up to random people for help. ] Pardon, but where do you think this goes again? [ He shows you the book he's currently trying to return to its home. ]

[ Ya know, Luca wasn't originally going to do this particular task, but something told him there were valuables nearby and his curiosity got the better of him. He wasn't sure how he got this in his head, but his suspicions were somewhat confirmed when a purple cat wearing boots got in the way.

Stop right there, stranger! Beyond this point lies a terrible curse! I wouldn't get closer if I were you! ]

Huh? A curse? You mean to tell me that's cursed treasure over there?

[ I- Er... Yes! Very cursed! You will die if you touch it! ]

Uh huh... [ Luca crosses his arms and frowns, unconvinced. Maybe you might want to help him out... Or maybe stop the cat's accomplice who's sneaking behind Luca while he's distracted. ]

[0509 - Dodo Birds]
[ Live dodo birds? That's something Luca wants to see for himself. It's pretty fortunate that he got the ability to summon a raft out of thin air, so he's asked whoever seems eager enough to join him on this funny little quest.

So here he is, en route to the remote island, looking over the red bookmark and those transformation potions he'd been provided. He didn't remember reading anything about dodos turning into hideous monsters in any scientific text, but then again he didn't remember much and dodos were supposed to be extinct.

He looks up at his partner. ] So... Remind me again. What is our plan for capturing the bird they asked for?

Rokurou Rangetsu | The Huntsman

[Finally, some real jobs for him to do during the downtime. Unsurprisingly, Rokurou is taking up any task that might spark a fight, and he will most likely be seen with his black horse, Hiei, and his red hawk, Akari, to help assist him in the "chase."]

» 0502: hunting dullahans «
[The echoes of hooves clattering against frosted cobblestones can be heard as two horseman charge down the thoroughfares of the Index. The one in the front has a distinct lack of head on its shoulders while the one chasing looks as if he could use more common sense in his. Especially once he catches up and holds out his long sword strike, only to be parried by frosted pike of peppermint.]

Not bad for a headless guy!

[If the horseman could click its tongue, it probably would because Rokurou is surely being a menace to its plans of "terrorizing" everyone with its pranks.

Speaking of, it's going to take the opportunity to just throw a box of glitter right into Rokurou's face before bolting away.]

Pblegh—hey!

[And so the mad chase continues with the dullhan now conjuring and throwing random boxes and toys around to try and deter the hunter. So those who happen to be in the area may want to watch out for not only the toys, but the horses charging through the streets with almost reckless abandon.]

» 0503 + 0510: hunting bacon «
[Given how he's already making something of a living hunting various wildlife to trade in at the butchers and other grocers, finding some wild boars to hunt is right up his alley. With Hiei pulling the cart and Akari scouting ahead for him, he's already taken down two.

So there are a few ways to encounter Rokurou as he hunts through the forests:

1) general run-in: he's out tracking and walking through the forests, and while he's keeping own presence light, others may sense or notice the horse-drawn cart waiting in various locations as he goes on his own.

2) it's a trap: although Rokurou himself isn't a trapper, ever since taking on this Essence he's learned to make and utilize a few. So he's set a few traps in places that have had some boar sightings. Nothing too complex, ranging from pit trap to net traps. They're very well hidden, especially for anyone not expecting one way out deep in the forest.

3) with the boar: preferring the "hands on" approach, Rokurou will fight any boars he encounters with his blades. They aren't too difficult for him, though if he runs into something larger it might be more of a challenge. Hopefully he's not targeting the same boar someone else is...

4) baby boar: Rokurou is many things, but he's not completely heartless. If he encounters any orphaned boars, he'll do his best to capture it to later bring it back to the designated ranch. Although, he may consider leaving it alone since he's pretty sure he knows what's going to happen to it. Perhaps someone else is trying to wrangle the little ones?

5) big daddy: might as well kill two boars with one stone. While out hunting the normal ones, he's also keeping an eye out on the legendary boar, and on one particular hunt he'll stumble onto telltale signs: turned over trees, giant hoofprints, and ravaged bushes and other foliage. Needless to say, he's going to get excited and not even bother trying to call for back-up—he's going all in. If someone else is around...better to just help than try to stop him.]

» 0509: hunting...dodos? «
[One day over the journals, there will be a very strange message.]

So you know those dodo birds on the Commission Board? If anyone is interested in trying to collect those eggs or whatever, I'm going to try and fight one of them today. Feel free to use me as a distraction—or avoid the island, not sure how crazy this is going to go. Gonna be a fun challenge, that's for sure!

[Yes. Yes this crazy daemon is going to go out and fight the dodo's monster form.

So if anyone does happen to be on the island, they will see him on one side fighting against at least one, maybe two of the hideous things. And probably having a fun time of it. Feel free to join in or make things more complicated!

» 0510: hunting youkai «
[Last but not least, Rokurou is going to the Book of Kaguya to face off some of these youkai to show them what a real daemon is like. Although he prefers doing this on his own, he won't mind any extra assistance and will provide help if necessary.

(Alternatively, skip the hunt and go straight to enjoying some local cuisine and alcohol afterward.)]

⊗ 0507: protecting tea; chasing cards

[For anyone signing up for tea delivery, they might see Eustace waiting and he has an offer: to join along and help protect them from the card gang targeting them. The reason? He wants to look into this group, so the delivery rider may be acting as bait in a way. How will he follow? Well...]

Don't worry about it. [He then transforms into a small, gray wolf pup and hops up to sit in the crate holding the tea boxes. Although his mouth doesn't move, his voice can be heard clearly as if he is talking normally...which may be weird hearing a deep, adult male's voice coming from such a floofy pup.] I'll hide in here and jump out if they appear.

[When not playing "secret escort," frantic shouts can be heard elsewhere as a large silver gray wolf can be spotted chasing after the cards, sometimes seen lunging to grab at a corner to try and drag it down. Anyone is welcome to assist and can even assume they're already working together on trying to capture a card for arrest.]

⊗ 0509: down the rabbit hole

[As someone with an Essence capable of transforming, and one that can take on different forms, Eustace decides to try and put his skills to use while also getting a bit of practice with it. The one he focuses on is trying to capture the rabbit, but...that's a lot of holes.]

...I can smell faint traces of the rabbit from this hole, but it could be anywhere in those tunnels. [He'll glance over at whoever else may be trying to complete this quest.] What can you transform into?

[If not coordinating with someone else, Eustace will have decided to transform into a dachshund, immediately digging the hole to make it wider for whoever else is around before burrowing in to catch the trail. After finding it, he'll transform into a rabbit, his fur a dark silver gray.

Hopefully anyone else down there doesn't mistake him for the real rabbit.]

[Luca was a bit skeptical at first. Why trust someone who wanted to use you as bait? But then again, he isn't too confident in playing offense just yet and he did need the protection... Hm...

No harm in having protection, right?

But then there's a sudden flash of light and the man is suddenly replaced by a small wolf.]

Hello... [He is very tempted to pet, but he sort of knows better than to touch wild animals no matter how fluffy they are...

He can still hear the man's voice. Weird. If it's ventriloquism, the man should be hiding somewhere nearby, but Luca doesn't see anyone else... Is his eye getting worse?]

Neat trick you got there, [He calls out to the empty space in hopes the stranger will hear him.] But are you sure your puppy can handle those bandits by itself?

[If Luca really wanted to, Eustace would actually allow him to pet his head...a little bit. As somewhat embarrassing as taking on this form is, it's for work. So he's just going to clear his throat and speak out again.]

It will depend on the situation. If it's just one then I'll turn back to my normal form, but if there are more than I will take on a larger wolf form to take care of them.
