A - The Doctor is out [Network]

I will not be meeting with clients in person until further notice. If you must make an inquiry for some medicine, use the journal to contact me. I will let you know when it's ready to be picked up.

B- A nightly stroll in the forest

[Anyone who happens to be wandering around or living in the forest, might hear a disturbance during the nighttime. It doesn't occur every night, but when it does, it sounded like someone was cutting down the trees. There's also a low rumbling like thunder that occasionally accompanied the sound afterwards, like a rhythmic thumping. Looking into the source, they will find themselves at the edge of the Index. The ground appeared unstable, with trees uprooted and large boulders that have been split into smaller pieces scattering about the area.

This warzone was only found along the edge of the Index, and every few nights, a new area would turn into a disaster area. If someone manages to catch the person in the act, it turns out to be the Disciple, or was it the Disciple? The low rumbling noise was from him ramming trees into the barrier or throwing boulders at it. Whatever he could pick up and throw, which was almost anything, he was directing them at the barrier. A few times he was crazy enough to punch the barrier.] I need...to go... [If you manage to get in close enough, you can hear him mumbling about going somewhere. It doesn't seem like he's quite all there himself. Are those pajamas he's wearing?]

[He hisses as he settles onto one of the fallen trees. Looking around the area...it was like a warzone. They're pretty close to where the barrier is, aren't they?]

What was he doing? [He looks in Rokurou's general direction.] Did you provoke him or did he come after you?

[Settling down next to him, wincing as he feels the movement aggravating his own wound at his abdomen but not minding it, he starts working as best as he can. It won't be the cleanest job—he had always known first aid, but not out of nature like this. He's relying on his Essence for this and this is a first attempt.]

He was attacking the barrier—with a tree no less. [A wry grin.] Heard the racket and decided to check it out, so guess you could say I provoked him.

The barrier...? [He frowns. He's not sure if he likes where this is going.]

You should help yourself first.

I'm not the one bleeding all over the place.

[Yes you are, Rokurou. Just a little less.]

Besides, it'll be easier taking care of you first, and by the time I finished I should have healed enough for it to have mostly closed.

[That is. Very comforting and reassuring. Maybe.]

[That gets a weird look from him, but then he figures it out.] Because you're a daemon, right?

Yep.

[Now don't mind him as he starts applying good ol' mother nature onto the gash. He doesn't really have herbal knowledge ~~unlocked~~ so really he's just applying material to work as makeshift bandages that should last until Disciple gets back.]

Not that I have super special healing properties to begin with, but enough for me to endure most injuries and heal over time.

[He winces when he starts to apply his first aid from nature.] Do you know what you're doing?

Not really. Just following my Essence instincts.

[BIG SMILE.]

[....Uh. He's looking at the leaves and other materials he's brought to make some bandages. Is this even sanitary?]

This might cause an infection.

Apparently the fungus is supposed to help with that.

[SMEARING IT ALL OVER.]

It depends on the fungus- [Urrgh, oh god that's a weird feeling. He's trying his best not to move as he applies the weird stuff.]

Did you actually check this isn't poisonous?! [All right, so he may not be an expert on first aid in the wilderness, but he has some vague-ish grasp of what plant life aren't dangerous. His concern is completely valid.]

[And holding up the fungus up to his daemon eye, hidden behind his hair. Hm...]

Yep, not poisonous.

[And proceeding to continue.]

Are you serious? [He tries to back away.] Just from looking at it?

Relax, I used my daemon eye. Ever since I had my essence, I've been able to tell if something is poisonous or not with it.

[He scoffs.] How convenient. [He's stopped trying to get away at least, even if he's still wary of this whole process.]

I don't know what this Storyteller is playing at, giving someone such a dangerous essence that I have. This is suppose to help save this place?

[Good, now stand still as he cuts some of this extra bark-bandage with his knife.]

Every story needs a villain, you know. If you think about it, the stories so far have been helped by your essence.

Playing out the stories is one thing, but endangering others outside of them isn't part of the mission.

That's only because you still don't have it under control. Plus it's pretty good training. Keeps things interesting for me, at least.

My problems are not for your entertainment. [He huffs. Though he had a point, even if he doesn't openly admit that he has a control issue. I'm not something you can just control, and you never will. He presses a hand to his head.]

Knock it off.

[Rokurou was focused on his work so he only just notices Disciple pressing a hand to his head.]

What, I didn't mean it like that.

[Just assuming the "knock it off" was to him kind of kidding around with him.]

Not you. [He grits his teeth, hearing the other cackling in his head. He doesn't sense the other was about to force control over him, not at this moment.]

Just quit encouraging him.

Him—oh, you mean Hyde.

[Just going to look over at him before he finishes pressing down the makeshift bandages.]

That must be really annoying having another voice in your head. You should just think of some weird stuff, like crazy food recipes, or naked people.

[He just makes a face.] Maybe not so much naked people. This is Hyde.

[He looks down at Rokurou's first aid attempts. It's...it'll do.] Thank you...I think it's helping a little.

Oh, so he's like that, huh?

[Can't help but smirk a bit before he sits back and winces a bit. Ugh. Maybe he should have dealt with his own injuries a bit.]

At least you're not bleeding out everywhere. Now if only I could summon a helpful woodland animal to help carry either of us back.

Is it that surprising? [Hyde isn't exactly a model citizen. He can hear him laughing in his head. How amusing this subject was. He tries to move, wincing. Yea, he's not going to get far without opening wounds again.]

Do you still have anymore of that fungus?
