01 ~ A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes
Characters: Korwa [The Fairy Godmother] and Eustace [The Gray Wolf]
Campaign: Break
Format: [It's strike time!]
Open
Summary: Korwa and Eustace arrive in the Index together. Fighting and shenanigans happen. Also puppies and matchmaking.

1 - You feeling lucky, punk? That's right, I'm back...
[What happens first is an earth-shaking tremor that rocks the very ground. Buildings sway, the glass in windows shaking violently but narrowly avoiding the point of cracking...
The loud explosion that follows though? That smashes some windows. Smoke begins rising from a building in the distance, acting as a guide for anyone brave enough to investigate the cause of all this noise and destruction.
To those with the guts to discover the source, or perhaps those just unlucky enough to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, you'll be greeted by… What the heck is that?!
Made of solid ice, this incredibly muscled adonis-like creature seems hell bent on causing as much destruction as possible. With a single punch part of another building crumbles, debris flying everywhere as people scream and run for cover. Is anyone going to tackle this mistake of ice sculpting gone wrong?!
Thankfully it seems as though two people are already on the case. Eustace and Korwa are both trying to keep up with the sculpture, with Eustace ready to jump into battle at a moment's notice while Korwa hangs a little further back to offer support.]
I'll keep it engaged, just stay out of the way. [That sounded more brusque than what he actually meant, which is for her to stay back so as not to get caught in the actual fight, but suddenly giant Vyrn he has to try and stop. No time to be polite.]
Let me back you up. We're going to avoid a bad ending! [At least she sounds a little more lighthearted, but then again she's keeping back while Eustace tackles muscle-Vyrn.
Will the two of them together be enough to tackle this strange, highly toned monstrosity? Maybe?! Hopefully!! But this cool customer isn't just out to wreak havoc. Oh no. It's out to put you on ice.
Help would be appreciated. Please join the raid, there are plenty of slots. Thanks.]
2 - Too cool for School
[Following the aftermath of that incredible battle there is plenty of damage to the surrounding area. When the creature fell, ice and snow suddenly blanketed everything nearby so watch you do don't slip while you're walking!
Not only that but there are plenty of people scurrying around, checking on their loved ones, their businesses and homes— Fortunately the scope of damage is isolated to half a block and fairly easy to repair, but there's plenty of commotion, with two people in the middle of it.
The woman with long, silver hair is doing her best to calm down anyone who is getting too worked up, trying to keep the peace the best she can in all of the chaos. Meanwhile the man with the tail is checking on those who seem dazed, ensuring no one was injured too badly in the chaos.
Were you hurt during the sudden arrival of Doppelvyrn? Want someone to yell at because what the hell was all of this that just happened? Look no further than these two. Flagging down one of them will mean you get the second one coming over shortly afterwards though.]
3 - Something Completely Different
[After a string of disasters/victories/happy ends, the pair can be found currently arguing out in the street. Well, "arguing." Most of the conversation seems to be coming from the silver haired woman who is following after a darker skinned man who appears to want nothing to do with her. What's perhaps most interesting about the two of them is they're both sporting furred ears on the top of their heads... Though the man also has a tail swishing behind him in agitation, hair bristled up so that's it's standing on end.]
Eustace please, I only need a few seconds to take care of you!
No.
Look, there's a cart. If you hide behind there now we'll be done, bam, finished before you know it.
No.
Fine, there's a clothing store! No one is going to question it if you undress inside—
[This time he doesn't even respond, instead his expression growing darker as he lengthens his stride and walks ahead, leaving the woman to trail along after him.]
Stop being difficult about your pants, you're going to lose them eventually!
[That warning (?) does nothing to slow Eustace down as he keeps up with his brisk escape. Do you dare approach the duo during this strange back and forth? If no one interrupts, Eustace will eventually decide he's had enough and transform into his wolf form to finally get away from Korwa.]
[OOC: JOINT INTRO POST FOR KORWA AND EUSTACE! The main post has prompts featuring both of them together, but we also have individual subthreads in case you're interested in just one or the other. Feel free to contact us on Discord or via plurk for further plotting! (
flowermaster for Korwa,
laenavesse for Eustace.)]

Would you mind taking your argument elsewhere? [Too impatient to wait, and not particularly interested in where this conversation was going, the Disciple decides to speak up in the midst of their arguing.]
disciple > eustace > korwa
So there's just a glance over before he proceeds to walk away, not saying a single word.]
no subject
We aren't arguing! [Arguing requires the other party to respond and not just deny her over and over!!] It's-- I can't just let him walk away with his clothes like that!
[She motions at Eustace as he begins to walk away, specifically to the tail which awkwardly sticks out of the back of his pants. They don't fit properly as a result. And as an artisan? She can't stand it.]
no subject
He seems to be walking away just fine. [We got a smartass here.]
no subject
If Korwa doesn't outright grab him he's really going to just leave entirely.]
no subject
... Not for long.
[Working her magic, Korwa wiggles her fingers as a series of sparkles flow from her hands and circle around Eustace's feet. With a shimmer of glitter, Eustace suddenly grows a few inches as his shoes are turned into a pair of thin ankle strap high heels.
Maybe. She should have just grabbed him.]
no subject
And now she's just thrown a giant wrecking ball into whatever he had left.
One second he was walking forward and the next he feels his shoes changing and is suddenly tripping over his feet, actually crashing oh so gracefully forward to the ground. When he looks back to see what the hell had happened and see those shoes?
There is just a very heavy silence as those eyes go up to the other Erune, the silent glare he gives her dark and almost menacing before he pulls himself up to take off the damn things.]
no subject
Korwa ducks her head to purposely avoid meeting Eustace's gaze, instead choosing to focus on her original goal here in the first place. His pants. While he's pulling the shoes off she'll be tugging and messing with the back of his pants.]
Eustace I'm sorry, but just let me take care of this. I know what I'm doing.
[It's too bad that no matter what work she does on his clothes now she probably isn't head towards a happy ending right now. Maybe he'll suddenly be 100 times happier knowing his pants are tail-accommodating though. Hah.]
no subject
Shouldn't you take him elsewhere to do that?
no subject
That's enough.
[His voice is quiet, but the anger he feels still carries through each word, like a quiet growl as he glares at her before turning to Disciple.]
You. Hold her back.
no subject
[She immediately throws her hands up and backs off. If she's already stuck her foot in this whole situation she doesn't want to make things any worse by being restrained by some random guy.
She gives Disciple a look.] Would you be happy walking around in pants that don't fit?
no subject
He doesn't appear to be happy with you chasing him. [Then again...he looks to Eustace.] Aren't you being overly dramatic about this? [It's really just a small change, right?]
no subject
This is not the first.
[And then he stands, ready to leave again.]
no subject
[Only. Maybe.]
Look, until I get my magic under better control I won't go doing anything to your clothes. I'll just do repairs with my hands.
[It's what she's used to anyway. Sure her usual magic might be gone but she can't lose her sewing and clothes-making skills.
She turns to Disciple.] Would you mind watching while I work? Like I said before, it won't take much time.
[Will having someone keep an eye on her be enough to convince Eustace not to storm off?]
no subject
no subject
He only looks at Korwa with an expression that clearly suggests he'd rather not. But after an involuntary aggravated twitch of his tail and feeling how uncomfortable it really is...
Eustace sighs.]
Not in public.
[And with only those three words he walks down towards an alleyway with some crates and barrels stacked up. Perfect for cover.
She has one shot at this.
ONE. SHOT.]
no subject
She all too happily follows him off down the alleyway, motioning for Disciple to follow along until they're out of sight of anyone who might happen to pass by in the street.]
Okay, let me take a proper look.
[Crouching down behind him she starts inspecting the material where it digs into his tail, tugging his pants a little as she wonders how best to do this. Hmm. If she made a small rip then it would be easy enough to stitch a hole around his tail. Far from professional, but it's a quick and simple fix.]
Can you hold this still for me? I don't want to catch it while I work.
[She motions for Disciple to hold Eustace's tail. Yup.]
no subject
He looks between her and the tail, then to Eustace. He kneels down, extending his hand out with the intention of doing as told, gently.]
no subject
I can hold it.
[No offense to Disciple, but he honestly wouldn't want anyone to touch his tail like this. It feels weird enough existing, that's just weirder. So he'll just reach back to hold it, it's long enough to wrap around forward a bit.
But will it be enough or will the positioning still be a hindrance to Korwa?]
no subject
That works.... I think. It's more space than I had before.
[It's still a little rough because of where his tail connects to the rest of his body and everything, and she can't really move that. So she'll just have to work with what she has.
Reaching up to the ornament in her hair, Korwa pulls free a sewing needle and gets on with the job at hand. To make a tail hole she's going to need to make a hole to stitch up first, so--
RIIIP
It's a very small rip, honestly! It just sounds worse than it is in the quiet of the alleyway.]
no subject
He straightens back up to quietly observe again. That rip sounded pretty loud for a small one. Not questioning it, he keeps an eye on Eustace instead. Should he try to resist after that sound, he'll be ready to hold him down.]
no subject
Now, Eustace knows Korwa will need to make a hole and that will probably involve some ripping. But that sounds like it was much worse than he expected. Still, he's trying to give Korwa the benefit of the doubt so he won't say anything...
.......Unfortunately, it's actually quite difficult to predict the kind of involuntary movement a recently acquired new appendage will make, so while he has a good grasp of the body of his tail, there's still some movement from would have been an agitated swish. Hopefully that wasn't timed poorly or that rip may be even larger.]
no subject
That rough swish of his tail should be easy enough to deal with, even if it's sudden and she wasn't expecting it. She leans her head back to look around the tail, adjusting her grip a little and...
... Oh.
That's not so little anymore. That. Yeah that's ripped right into the seat of his pants. Not good. Not. Good.
...
Korwa opts to say nothing and just starts quickly sewing up the whole as best she can, though Eustace can likely feel she's starting a bit low down for what what meant to be a "tiny" rip. And Disciple can definitely see as Korwa freezes up for a moment before she hurriedly starts working away.
It's fine. All fine.]
no subject
Do you need anymore assistance...? [Not that he's an expert at this either but...]
no subject
Like that frown.]
Did something happen?
[Watch where you put those hands, Korwa—!]
