Entry 001

Characters: Kazuma Asougi | Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde and anyone!
Campaign: Hollow Christmas Carol, Act 2
Format: [ brackets ] preferred
Open
Summary: Parties suck. Doing other things instead.

[A - Gift giving from the not so jolly Disciple]
[Though his role in the story doesn't happen until much later on, a role he's not looking forward to, the Disciple chooses not to partake in the partying if he can avoid it. Instead, he spends his time outside, giving gifts to the people, or at least trying to. He must have had a scary face or something, because some were rather intimidated by him to even come up and accept the gifts.]

They're not boobied trapped or anything. [He just didn't have much enthusiasm passing these gifts out, practically just tossing them or dumping them into their hands when they refuse to come up to him. The gifts are being passed around, it's good enough.]

[B - Save the tree!]
[All right, so he does occasionally pop back into the mansion to grab a drink and something to eat, but that's about it. Avoiding everyone and any mistletoes ever. During one of his trips, he does make a stop when he felt something being tossed at him. Looking in the direction of where it came from, he sees a few kids playing around the Christmas tree. Seem harmless, except some of them have decided to climb up the tree as well. That...that didn't seem safe. With a sigh, he decides to come over and do something about it.

He tugs on the clothes of the nearest child.]
Get off. [His oh so persuasive words only led to the child screaming. Who was this weird guy grabbing onto him!? That tree is wobbling dangerously now, as the child tries to wiggle free.]

[C - Protect the Mansion]
[While the Disciple may not be the best person at gift giving or dealing with children, fighting is a different story. He was honestly glad that these Erasers and Santa's helpers were trying to disrupt the party. It gave him something to let off some steam on, maybe a little too well. Each kill was messier than the last, splattering ink onto the mansion wall when they got too close. He's trying his best to keep them as far away from the mansion as possible but...it's just so much fun to tear into them. More and more would charge at him, trying to overwhelm him, but he easily slices and punches them back, tearing at their tender pages, throwing them into each other.

So pathetic. How is he suppose to know his limits with such weak enemies?]
-Hnk! [He spoke too soon and gets rammed by a reindeer from behind. A loud "Ho Ho Ho" can be heard from somewhere nearby. The reindeer will turn itself back around and joined by another. Digging their hooves into the dirt, they come rushing toward the fallen man with the intention of trampling him.]

[D - If the dress fits]

[The big proposal is happening soon, and "Beltrina" seems to have gone missing. The Disciple had locked himself in one of the rooms in the mansion, mostly because he's fighting with the dress and also hiding.] This is ridiculous. [He knew his role once the scene had changed, but he still doesn't think this was actually happening. Surely there must have been some mistake!]

[ It being so that he can't breathe is the point....! Well actually no it's not, but the dress still has to fit. ] The laces must pull the seams together-- otherwise you will have-- [ gasp ] an open back! [ How scandalous! ] The dress already reveals your shoulders, you needn't show more to turn heads! [ Tut tut

But okay okay she's doing up the laces. ]
Just do not breathe for a few more seconds, or hold onto that banister for support... it's almost done!

[ Aaaaand with one last tug.....!

It's done. Phew, she nearly broke a sweat there. ]
All finished.

[ The laces will be properly seamed together, flawlessly creating a smooth back for the dress. Ophilia rests her arms at her side as she takes a step back to look at her work.

And she can't just help but stare at him, her voice softer than before. She brings up a hand to her mouth, half in wonder, half feeling rather, oh, ...embarrassed? once more. Or perhaps self conscious about how she looks in comparison. ]
M-my, I don't know how you do it, Sir Disciple.... But you still manage to look quite handsome. [ Handsome, not beautiful. Maybe it's that cold gaze of his, or his mouth that's always turned down into a stern, sharp pout. But he looks as if he could be just as deadly behind a fan and some lace as he is with his sword. ]

Oh, yes of course. [ She shakes her head, her tone remaining soft. If a little awkward as well.

But. She's happy for him-- he's taking another big role in this story, and that's pretty incredible! ]
Well, I won't keep you long. You've an engagement to attend, do you not? [ Get it. Because it's a literal engagement. ]

I hope it will be lovely.

[ She looks at him for a moment, noting his embarrassment, quiet and thoughtful as she thinks of what to say in return. ]

...Sir Disciple, I've seen you conduct a classroom full of difficult children and take out an entire group of Erasers within seconds. [ She begins calmly, trying to appease him. ] If you can do those two things, surely being in a dress and listening to another Aspect's heartfelt proposal is nothing in comparison.

I haven't known you long, but I know you to be as strong and honorable as any knight of the realm. With this act you will be helping a great many within this story. Who can ask for a greater honor than helping those in need?

[ She hasn't been called to fill a role just yet. But if she were to, she hopes she could fulfill her part in the story just as good as he has. ]

You are very welcome. [ She lifts a bit of her own gown—comparatively plain, as she is not part of the cast— for a slight curtsy in response, then walking past him through the door. ] Do enjoy the rest of your evening. It is a party after all.

And should you be in any assistance later on, I will be here.

[ AND WITH THAT, she’ll be on her way to find a room to repair the strap on her shoe. ]
