[Yosuke held an admittedly beautiful key in his hand. He was also looking very confused as he glanced at the path that the key was leading him. It wasn't that he didn't know what it was for. He had been here before. The problem was that everything around him looked a bit hazy. Not foggy (thank god) but definitely not as clear as it had been before. He was also pretty certain he had 20/20 vision last his checked so what was going on?

He squinted and walked forward, although he couldn't always stop himself from bumping into objects and people as he let the key lead him to his new home. Eventually, he really wasn't surprised, his sandal caught on something sharp and he landed right on his face with a yelp.]

Ugh, c'mon man... I shouldn't need glasses already!!

[He was just gonna lie there in this. Except the fancy ornament around his neck and shoulders was starting to dig in. At least the skirt was comfy, even if he was starting to feel chilly because he had no shirt which he really didn't want to think about right now.]

[At least he could still see during the day. That was a small comfort. Of course, there was something else that he was finding out and that was that there was a whole lot of chatter and it wasn't coming from the people. The people were looking at him weirdly as he looked like he was talking to himself.

He wasn't. He was actually very deep into a conversation with a blue jay on his shoulder as he looked at an outdoor rack of clothes.]

Look I know the jewels and stuff are nice but I can't walk around in it all the time! [Chirp.] Yeah, yeah, but c'mon, I'm used to wearing pants and normal shirts! Running around even in the robe is weird. [Chirp chirp.] You're not even native to Egypt why do you even care so much? [Chirp!] Okay, okay, how about you help me pick out something to match with the shirt?

[Please stop him from getting fashion advice from a bird. Or don't. It's up to you.]

So, I was here before. I went home and I guess I'm back again? Anyway, I'm Yosuke Hanamura! I'm Horus this time and I got a HUUUUUGE temple as a house. I dunno what to do with something that size, to be honest. Especially because my eyesight started going back at night time? So I keep running into things.

Anyone know a good eye doctor around here who works in the evenings?

[This time, instead of a blue jay, it's Yu's baby bald eagle perched carefully on an empty rack. He went through a rack of glasses to try on. He finally got a prescription for a pair to wear at night, his blue eye was apparently worse than his orange eye which is what really messed with this but they were able to give him something usable so he wasn't constantly running into things.

He tried on another pair and then looked at the bird.]

Yes? No?

[She was still a baby by bird standards, but she was able to give affirmatives or negatives and a few others words. He wasn't sure where Yu wandered off to but he figured it couldn't hurt to get a second opinion, even it was an eagle. The store owner gave him a shake of his head just as the eagle also squawked a no.]

Wow, two no's? Guess that's a dud. Hmm...

[Wanna help?]

[OOC: Yosuke has heterochromia, one blue eye and one orange eye to represent the sun and moon. His freckles (the stars) are more prominent on his face and shoulders if it's a shirtless prompt.]

[Yu had been walking a little slower behind him, following to see where Yosuke's place was located. Considerably closer to his own place, now that he noticed a similar pathway, he got distracted enough to hear a thud.

"Friend fall!" his bird said, even if Yu didn't understand. The squawk seemed urgent.]

Partner? You okay?

[He extended a hand to pull him up.]

[Yosuke squinted up at Yu, he was blurry. But he recognized that voice anywhere and it wasn't like Yu hadn't been that far behind him. He groaned and took Yu's hand.]

I think we better call it a night, partner. Something weird is goin' on with my eyes.

[izanyagi]

[That can't be good. Yu keeps his grip on his hand to act as his eyes.]

What type of weird, exactly?

[He looked to the side, pouting almost.]

It's blurry. It's been getting worse the darker it gets.

[He could at least somewhat make out Yu's face. So he wasn't totally blind, but it wasn't like he could see details. Except the bowlcut. It was always gonna be distinct.]

[Oh that can't be good. He has to think about it, recalling what he remembered from using Horus as his persona.]

He's a god of sunlight, right? When I summoned him he was a very bright bird. Maybe that's why...

[Which is...not very good.]

I'm inviting myself to your place for tonight. At least so we can figure out what to do tomorrow when you can see again.

[Hopefully, he thinks as the clouds around him manifest and grow.]

Ren was given a disguise kit when he first arrived, but he hasn't had a chance to use it. It had some basics, but what it didn't have was extra pairs of fake glasses. And he would likely need it should he decide to do a test run.

Plus if his current pair breaks, he could have another he could slip on. He knows Minato told him he doesn't need to wear fake glasses to hide his emotions, but it was a hard habit to break.

So today he went to see about getting a couple pairs. And maybe some other things for the disguise kit just in case. As he was walking, he can't help but notice the orange-haired teen talking to what looked like a baby eagle. He's not bothered by that since he knows he's gotten looks from talking to Morgana at times.

Wait didn't Narukami-san own a baby eagle? It couldn't be the same one, right?

Still, he seems to be having issues with glasses. It reminds him of Sumire back when she was still Kasumi. Plus he could a second (and maybe a third) opinion on extra glasses.

He walks over to them. "Need some help with that?"

[dj_jiraiya]

"Huh?" Yosuke looked up and spotted the teen who spoke to him. He shrugged lightly. "I mean, if you're okay with it. I've never worn glasses before... well, real ones anyway. Had a pair of orange ones back home that were just the fashionable kind and even then, someone made them for me."

And they were magic and could see through magic fog but you know, details. Either way, he really had no experience. Somehow Teddie was the one with a knack for this stuff.

"Probably better than getting advice from partner's eagle."

The eagle in question gave an indignant squawk and Yosuke only laughed and stroked her beak. Given she really was just a baby bird, she was easily placated by the pets. "He should really give her a name... anyway!" He address Ren again. "Uh, I'm Yosuke, by the way. Yosuke Hanamura."

"That's pretty cool that your friend could make glasses like that." At least he assumes it's a friend. "It's not a problem. I've helped with picking out glasses before back home."

While he is curious as to who his 'partner' is, he doesn't ask for now. He does wonder if this baby eagle is the same one as Yu's and if the bird even recognizes him from when he met Yu.

"Ren Amamiya. Nice to meet you, Hanamura-san."

Now that's out of the way. "Any style or color you're looking for exactly?"

"You sure? Thanks, man!" More like a little brother but like hell Yosuke would ever admit Teddie was a brother out loud. The baby eagle tilted her head at Ren and then made a noise at him. Yosuke was able to hear the words though.

"Friend!"

Yosuke looked at Ren and then back at the bird. "You know him?"

"Friend of Zeus!"

"She says she knows you as a friend of Zeus? I'm thinkin' she means partner, er... Yu Narukami," Yosuke laughed. "Partner has a way of makin' friends wherever he goes, so I'm not surprised if you've met him already!"

Sorry, the glasses were kinda forgotten for now.

So he was right and it looks like Yosuke is one of Yu's friends. Most likely a persona user too.

"That's right. Narukami-san helped me set up some running water at my place a while back."

That's fine. It's not like either of them are in any rush.

[ It's one thing to see someone talking and getting fashion advice from a bird. It's something different to see a bird walking around shopping for clothes of her own. And yet most people seem to have gotten used to Lena's presence, at least, and she was more or less comfortable with all the humans around.

Still, she can't help pausing as she passes by, a little curious before she realizes who he's talking to. ]

[This was officially the first humanoid duck Yosuke ever met, but he tried not to stare. Mostly because she was staring right back and it was easy to figure out why.]

A-Ahh-haha... she just joined in tryin' to help me pick out clothes! I swear, I'm not talking to myself.

[ She glances between him and the bird for a moment, before shrugging. ]

Hey, I'm not judging.

[ Then she points to the rack. ]

Though the black would look better, I think.

You think so?

[He pulled out the black shirt and compared it to the one he had.]

I’m not completely used to wearing black aside from my school uniform... you sure I’d even work it?

It's easier to find eye doctors back home, y'know just calling and asking and all that. I guess I can ask the people who sell the glasses.

Depends on the tech level! This place is like... 1800s? I think. My partner could answer this way better than me but if movies are anything to go by, I think glasses had been invented by then?

[Meanwhile, here Mabel was raising an eyebrow at what Yosuke was doing. While she couldn't deny how talking to a bird was fun, she couldn't help but overhear what he was saying]

You know, if you wanted some fashion advice, you could always talk to me! You are talking to a little miss fashionista over here!

Eh? W-Well, it's not like I needed it, I just... am not used to the fashion around here.

[She was a cute kid, but he wasn't sur he wanted fashion advice someone who probably wasn't even in junior high.]

Trust me, I think you do.

[She said before pointing to his shoulder] Especially when you're getting advice from a bird.

[There was an indignant chirp if Yosuke ever heard one. The blue jay flew off in a huff.]

Pretty sure you offended her but I guess I got no choice now. So, what'd you have in mind?
