Finale Event: Into Neverland
FINALE EVENT: INTO NEVERLAND—
§ instructions.
This is it, our finale event that will lead the game into the new one. Although the Book of Peter Pan is still intact, there has been increased activity of Erasers and sightings of what could be the Story Eater. Although initial reports say it might have disappeared, the Storyteller can sense its destructive power and has sent the Aspects to try and hunt it down. But there's a plot twist that no one will have seen coming at the end.
The timeline of the event is all in this log, so the prompts double as narrative progression of their time in Peter Pan and includes the final confrontation. A narrative epilogue that will tie-in the conclusion with everyone sent to the new game setting will be posted at the game's closing date.
Feel free to refer to the Game Notes for more detailed info as well as ask questions or clarifications.
§ prompts.
¶ I. Fairy Nightmares. The first area the Aspects investigate is where most of the fairies of Neverland live and there's quite a few things that can be done to help. It is also where most of the nightmares seem to fester, and though the fairies are trying to root it out they are succumbing to the nightmares themselves. They will grant everyone the use of fairy dust which will allow them to fly, but some might find one part of their body lighter than the other if the dust was applied incorrectly.
¶ II. Mermaid Lagoon. After taking care of the fairies, they will receive a sudden visitor: Peter Pan himself. He thanks them for their help and urges them to the beaches where the mermaids are bravely fighting off the Erasers as well as trying to gather powerful treasures that are said would be potent against the Story Eater. "If we can gather them," Peter Pan tells the Aspects, "we'll be able to get rid of that Story Eater once and for all! Let's go!"
¶ III. Turnabout Pirates. After the group has gathered a few of the items, Captain Hook's ship suddenly appears and with it the beginnings of a nasty storm. The waters start to churn as it pulls in and Hook shouts loudly at the Aspects. "You fools! Don't you realize what you're doing!? That bastard is a liar!"
"Oh Hook," Peter Pan suddenly interjects as he laughs. "Looks like you didn't get enough of a beating from last time!"
"I'll cut you down for what you did to Tick-Tock!" the pirate captain roars as he swings his sword. "I know who you really are imposter!"
It's chaos and confusion as the cannons erupt from the side of the ship, all aiming for Peter Pan and the Aspects.
Will this be enough to take down the Story Eater once and for all?
¶ IV. Wildcard. Make up your own prompt!
After returning from their last Book, everyone had some time to relax, celebrate, and wait to hear from the Storyteller. It wasn't long before the Storyteller happily informed them of the wonderful news:
Everyone within the Index hears a similar message, of how things are turning for the better and that surely it won't be long before the Realm is safe again. Those from the restored stories celebrate and continue to safeguard their world, the power and magic generated from them making the Books almost look as if they are glowing. Any reports of stories suffering attacks are quickly relayed to not only those in the Index, but to the restored stories as well. With the populations restored, they are able to give aid, sending out strong fighters and medical help to join in the fight to push back the Erasers and the Story Eater's influence.
But there is one Book that has a darkness that has been spreading from inside out. Although it had managed to stay intact throughout all this time, the people within the Book tell of terrifying nightmares that will plague them, some even claiming to witness them becoming reality. After some investigation the Storyteller will send the Aspects a new missive.
Just like previous missions, everyone will gather at the Grand Library, but there is a tension in the air, as if this could be their biggest battle yet—perhaps even their final one. With more supplies than usual, the Aspects will be ushered into the room that will teleport them to the Book, and from there they will have to journey deep into Neverland.
Aspects. Thanks to your hard work, enough stories have been restored that the power generated from each one is enough to help us rewrite and mend many other stories on our own. It's still an uphill battle as the Story Eater and its minions are still out there causing destruction so the war is not over yet, but you are now relieved of much of the burden that had been placed on you since the beginning of this quest. We thank you for everything you have done so far to help our world. There are still some stories that may require some assistance and we are searching for the Story Eater. It's not until that beast is stopped will the Realm be safe. So please wait a little longer and prepare yourself for the battles ahead. |

Reports from the Book of Peter Pan indicate a strong likelihood that the Story Eater has appeared and may still be there. Go at once to help the people first before trying to find the Story Eater. We will grant you additional powers so that you may unlock everything your Essence has to offer. Good luck...and stay safe. |

§ prompts.

- A dreaming concoction. Fairy magic is key to help deal with the world's nightmare problem, but with so many out and suffering they are unable to cast the proper magic. Aspects must help create a concoction made from the nectar of a special flower that can only be found on the tops of the tallest trees, white berries found in the prickliest of bushes, and the bark of the youngest trees. Spreading this over the afflicted foreheads will help grant them better dreams and pull them from their nightmares. Beware of the Erasers that take on giant insect forms, as well as creatures that could only have been spawned from nightmares.
- Childhood dreams. The Aspects must also be wary as the magic here will randomly change them to children. Fortunately they still have access to their powers and it's only a physical change. However they will also be prone to take naps and start having lucid dreams about their childhood memories or whatever fantasies they might have had as a child. For the most part they are supposed to be pleasant, but the Story Eater's corruption has made it so that it spreads to dreams, turning them into nightmares. Although the concoction will help ease some of it it is not as effective. The fairies will bestow magic to the Aspects so that they can enter the dreams of those affected and try to pull them out as they will be unable to awaken otherwise. Usually there is a nightmarish creature at the center of it all. Eliminating it will end the nightmare.

- Treasure Hunt. With a bit of magic, everyone is able to take on merforms and dive underwater. Their goal is to find at least one of each of the following items: a giant pearl from the violent violet oyster; a jar full of sparkling sand; pieces of the rainbow coral; and crystal shells. Although they need at least one, more will be better. All of these items can only be found deep underwater close to the bottom of the depths and not only are there Erasers but the native creatures that lurk there. Best take a partner!
- Crocodile Lullaby. Lurking within the lagoon are crocodiles that are more than willing to take a bite out of the Aspects. However, they can be easily lulled to sleep by playing music, singing, or even the sound of a tick tocking clock. Truth is the crocodiles are also suffering from the nightmares, so a good nap will them a world of good and could even turn them into a formidable ally.

- A Pirate's Life for Me. If this isn't confusing enough, for some reason some of the Aspects will suddenly find themselves on Hook's ship disguised as the pirate crew. This looks like a good chance to cause even more mayhem by attacking the pirates —but something's weird. The pirates are already battered, as if they had been fighting against something else. It could be presumed to be Erasers as not even villains are spared. But some express disbelief as they watch their captain and Peter Pan fight, shouting for their captain to get revenge and to show that Story Eater there can only be one big villain! Wait what?
- Protect the treasures. Something suspicious is definitely going on. Is that a strange black aura seeping out of Peter Pan? Let's not ignore that crazy almost bloodlust look in his eyes as he seems to use dark magic that doesn't seem to fit the story. However with Hook fighting, it's better to not intervene and instead focus on protecting the treasures. The mermaids tell them that with their incantation they can activate the treasures to reveal the Story Eater's location, but they won't be able to with all these Erasers suddenly coming everywhere!
- Fight! Of course our heroes would not just sit on the sidelines. As it becomes abundantly clear that the Peter Pan they see is not the real one, but it's not until the glittering sand is thrown at him that the real identity is revealed to be the Story Eater itself. As its body begins to contort to something more like a nightmarish Eldritch Horror, the mermaids quickly inform the Aspects how to use the remaining treasures:
- The magic pearls can be thrown and be used as powerful explosives, capable of inflicting powerful damage on the Story Eater. They can be modified by imbuing it with their Essence powers, changing them to have more of an elemental effect or even change its appearance and form based on the Essence.
- The shells will grant them armor that will reflect most of the Story Eater's attacks, and it will take on the form and style to match their Essence, perhaps even making them appear more like the original Essence.
- The coral will transform into strong, unique weapons based on their Essences and will be capable of cutting into the Story Eater's flesh and inflicting lasting wounds. It will also allow those who prefer to use magic to cast powerful offensive and defensive spells.
