First Summon
Characters: Mordred [Krampus] and whoever!
Campaign: Break
Format: Either, I'll match
Open
Summary: Getting used to life in another world
Now that things have quieted down, Mordred's had time to think about and get used to being here instead of anywhere that makes sense. Or as used to being here as she can anyways, the world of the Index is definitely something else. Even for an experienced knight of the round table, not that she'd ever admit that it's all a little much.
[A]
And those gingerbread houses definitely fall under the header of a little bit much. She didn't really pay the most attention after getting here since there was that stuff with the sleeping spell and golems, so now she'll take the time to stand around and gawk at them. She's seen a lot in her time (not that it's been much time), but an actual candy house is a new one.
“How do you live somewhere like that without taking a bite out of it?”
She can't help but think about that one. Not that she'd do it if she lived somewhere like that. Probably. Okay, she might, but only if no one was around to see. It'd be unbecoming otherwise.
[B]
Besides just standing around staring, she also needs to work on her essence abilities. She got through okay against the golems, but she wants to do more the next time the Story Eater shows up. Plus she's not really one for resting, she's more the type to always be doing something, so she's keeping herself busy by trying to do more with abilities that aren't hitting things with a stick.
“All right so, I think it was like this...”
She'll flick her wrist and suddenly there's a set of chains in her hand and then she'll turn to whoever's around. Doesn't matter how many people she asks, she definitely wants ideas.
“The book in the library said these can make noise to frighten people, but that's pretty lame. There's got to be something cooler, right?”
Unlike some Fate characters, she doesn't have too much experience with using chains as a weapon, but she figures there's got to be more than just aggressively shaking them at people. That's stupid in her opinion. Then again, so's the whole punishment goat demon that throws people in a sack but also hits them with sticks and has chains? That's too many things!
[C – for Dojima]
Of course being new to the world and also just not having a ton of life experience in general means that not everything's going to go Mordred's way. So she fell for that stupid dwarf's stupid scam and luckily managed to avoid shredding the fake buffet tickets into a million pieces before reading about it. She was definitely thinking about it, in fact, one of them might be a little frayed at the edge.
But they're mostly intact, and she's handing them over to that Dojima guy and trying not think about Essence stuff. Then there's this whole weird thing of her turning over evidence of wrongdoing to the King of Knights and she does not need or want to deal with that headache today. Or ever really.
“Here.”
Once she gets them, she'll just kinda shove them at him. That makes it less awkward, right? No? Okay, well, she tried at least.
“Like I said, you better catch that guy.”
Or guys? She's not really sure how many of them are, but the culprit(s) better be brought to justice. Scamming a knight like this is disgraceful! So is falling for said scam, but that's also on the list of things she's trying not to dwell on.
