[Shizuo honestly didn't really think about how Kotori would react to his decision to go after Hyde. It wasn't out of lack of consideration for her at all, but more that he had been so focused on first helping Roxas and then in the idea of finding and punching that bastard's face in, he had little thought for anything else. Even before Kotori spoke he had been amped up and ready to go.
But when he does see the girl's face and hears her practically begging for him to be careful... Well two things strike him. The first is guilt because he's making her worry so much. The second is something deeper, a surprise and slow realization that at least one person cares about his well-being that much. Usually people don't since he can handle anything literally thrown at him, a kind of confidence (and fear) in his abilities. But what Kotori displays is different.
So he stands there a little dumbstruck before a small smile slowly forms and he reaches out to (mostly) gently lay a hand on her head, a gesture of reassurance.]
